Food was horribly over salty (and I usually add salt). Overpriced for the amount received. The burger was ordered medium rare - was no pink to be found, so it was probably just under well done. The pretty atmosphere and wait staff don't make up for bad food.
The food was wonderful but the service was great. Cody (the bartender) was super attentive and really ontop of his game. The old fashioned was perfect. The steak was perfect. This is a great place that I will bring people to on future trips to this area.
We are on the road again this summer. I couldn't remember the name of the restaurant or town. However, I had taken a picture of my wife seated on a park bench next to a statue of Lincoln three years ago. I ran it through Google Lens and found out that we were in Vandalia....
