Traveling through and stopped for dinner with my son and granddaughter. Dinner was great! Also they have pool and a dart board so my son and I played darts a while. Very friendly place.
Great food, great people, great fun and great prices! Loved the chicken salad here. The outdoor seating is amazing!!!

The Copper Penny is a hidden gem in downtown Vandalia between STL and Champaign IL. It is a clean, friendly, and neat place with friendly helpful staff. The food is very good and tasty, with delicious onion rings, wings, and a smash burger that is easily one of the best burgers ever. The servers are friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is open, relaxed, and lively with pool tables, a dart board, and lottery machines. CityWide is on tap, and the refreshing drinks and very fair pricing make it a perfect place to meet friends, go with family, and unwind. This place is definitely a worth visit for anyone traveling through.
