We have been here twice. Did the Try 2 combos each time. This visit mushroom soup & Turkey Avacado Club. Both were tasty. I tried the Orange creme creamcicle from the fountain. They always have unique drinks to try. We also like the chocolate dipped strawberry that comes with the combo.

Ordered through Uber eats paid $17.95 for this salad that was not even full. The only reason I am giving two stars is because my husband enjoyed his food. Last two times i have been here or ordered online have not been worth it. Quality and service have declined.

(Warning food poisoning 11/24/2025)
So I went to Zupas yesterday and got a rice salad bowl. Overall, it took a while for help they were understaffed, already thought some of their practices were a little suspicious, but nevertheless, I got my salad as I was eating it I noticed that the leaves are quite gross, and the rice was crisp and hard, and the chicken didn’t taste right. But I was hungry and have been a big Zupas fan for the past few years and this is my first time dining back in a couple years. Well, I woke up at 4 AM to horrible food poisoning. Zupas was the only thing I ate that night, it really just did not taste good anyway. I have never had food poisoning this severe, safe to say I will never be eating back here.

Here is a clean, friendly review you can post, Dezzy. It keeps it honest, positive, and helpful.
Review for Café Supers
Café Supers in Vernon Hills is such a cute little spot with a really cozy vibe. The place is always nice and clean, and the food never disappoints. The soup is so delicious, and I love that every order comes with a chocolate-covered strawberry and bread. I also like that you can mix and match your meals, whether it’s a sandwich with a salad, a sandwich with soup, or just a classic soup and sandwich combo.
The staff works well and gets the job done, though I think a few more smiles or a little extra friendliness would make the experience even better. A couple of the girl staff look like the job is more of a burden, than a fun place to work . Now I do always great service by Aciel and Jessica, they always have a smile. Other than that, I always walk out satisfied and happy with my meal..

Veggie crunch and turkey avocado club sandwiches were tasty. Great variety of soup and bowl options as well. Friendly staff.
I ordered DoorDash for a training. This was the first time ordering. It was fabulous. The pick 2 options are great. The cheesecake is to die for. Highly recommend.

Not sure what’s up with this location, but our pickup order consistently has something wrong or missing- without fail. Very disappointing, good food, but not sure why orders are not getting checked. You can see the items have been “checked” on the sticker, but they clearly aren’t. I’d have to say we’re done with Cafe Zupas

First time and won’t be the last. Got the Two Combo special. A large bowl of chicken tortilla and chili soup with a tasty BBQ brisket, full sandwich. All for about $15. Fresh ingredients. Will be back!!

Went in to order today to-go for me, my wife and three littles. The person taking my order at the counter cut me off and informed me that if I needed to order more than three menu items, that it would have to be an online order. They said that this was a corporate policy, but they really were not trying to help me out. When I spoke to the manager, she said more or less the same, and said that it was to reduce the order line wait time.
We both looked over and the line was EMPTY (and had been for the past 15 minutes) when I explained that that rule shouldnt be a thing when its not busy, but the staff was not really interested. To their credit, they did inform me I was forgetting my extra fruit cup (which you cannot order online a la carte), but the man at the sandwich line was borderline rude.
Had my wife not been madly in love with the food, which is really great imo, i would have just gone elsewhere. The policy got in the way of a smooth transaction, and embarrassed me when I was cut off from ordering, an experience that does not exist at any other cafe or fast food place in the country.
I probably won't be back, my family of 5 can eat elsewhere.

It’s a convenient spot for a quick lunch, but lately there’s been a wait on my last three visits, and some items are often unavailable. The self-service dish return area is also quite dirty. It seems like the place could really use a few more staff members to keep things managed properly

While the food is very good, this location’s mobile ordering is brutal. It is almost never ready anywhere near the promised time and about every other time I’ve been here, they lost the order and need to start over. This really needs to improve.
their brisket grilled cheese sandwich is amazing

One of my favorite sandwich places, because they have a much greater variety of options that most and a rotating menu. This place kind of reminds me of what Panera USED to be, minus the bakery.
