We bought a custom-made ice cream cake in celebration of a family member's birthday. When cutting the ice cream cake, we found two long, straight blonde strands of hair embedded within the cake. Nobody at the birthday celebration has long, straight hair and the hairs were completely embedded within one of the layers of the ice cream cake. So, they had to come from Cold Stone. This discovery of two long hairs inside of the ice cream cake put an immediate end to our enjoyment of the cake. That's bad enough, but what happened next is unacceptable. I contacted the Vernon Hills store twice asking for a refund, but I received NO response. I also contacted Cold Stone Customer Service and received no response. When I followed up with a phone call, I was told that they would respond within 3 days but there was no response after 4 days. This incident would have been an opportunity to display exemplary customer service and make it right. But completely ignoring the customer and breaking promises only compounded the problem. At this point, I can only say that Cold Stone Vernon Hills has a sanitation problem and a customer service problem.

Regardless of what season it is in the Chicago area whether it's freezin' outside or scorching hot, there's always room for Cold Stone.The high-end ice cream parlor is a real treat year round and their creations make it worth your while even almost always whenever I bring my boys to a location, they just want their ice cream w/o any toppings.The high quality brand is much better than BR and DQ and obviously does battle with the likes of Oberweis, Graeter's and Chocolate Shoppe venues.A decent array of flavors along with an arsenal of toppings and mix-ins makes CSC stand out compared to any competitors out there.Always consistently good customer service in a clean space and still reasonable prices for what you get despite the pandemic, nationwide inflation and minimum wage hike.

I ordered 3 small cups of ice cream and the cups were about or less than half full. So disappointing.... when I asked about getting our cup filled appropriately I was told that was the correct amount..... will not be visiting this location again.We have been to many locations and never had this problem before.

the interior needs updating, but the ice cream! simply incredibly delicious! their waffle cups and the flavor of the ice cream created by the wizards/employees is a masterpiece. thank you very much you have delicious and always positive ?
I've been to this location 3 times over the last year. The experience has been average. The team consistently makes the ice cream larger than what I order and the mix in quantities are never consistent. There was twice as much peanut butter on my ice cream tonight as there should have been and it wasn't mixed well. I came home and ate globs of peanut butter. I also noticed that there is no cover over the ice cream freezer in front and the ice cream in the display looks like it is slightly melted. As a former manager of a cold stone creamery store, this location needs employees to be retrained and management needs to improve standards. A larger ice cream doesn't always mean a better ice cream and this location has sadly proven this multiple times.

The customer service is BEYOND TERRIBLE here because not only when I went there today did the 3 highschool girls w bleached hair give me attitude, but we’re also not taking there job seriously as they were talking over me and overall making my experience unpleasant and uncomfortable. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS OVER TO GURNEE!!!

Here are the current Doordash prices for Mix and Go:Mine (1 pint) $8.15Ours (2 pints) $11.90Everybody's (3 pints) $20.00Mine x3 (for 3 pints) = $24.45 (better off getting "everybody's")Ours x1.5 (for 3 pints) = $17.85 (better deal than the $20 "everybody's")So you are paying a 12% premium for the "everybody's". If you want 3 pints, you will be better off getting 1 "Our's" and 1 "Mine". Same price, but you get to make another combination of flavors.The "Our's" is the best deal. I usually order the biggest size of anything because I assume it's the best deal, but that is not the case with the everybody size. I wish I did the math before I ordered.

Today I was there with my friend. We really enjoyed that place. Incredible ice cream flavors!! Lots of choice of cups and waffle cones. Ice cream is soft and creamy. Will definitely try the smoothies next time. Thank you ?
