Normally I go 2-4 times a month. This time it took the slow staff almost 40 minutes to get us our food. My co worker had his food and finished before me and my other co worker got our food. HORRIBLE SERVICE, Not going back again.

Invicto is a taqueria serving Tijuana style meals full of flavor! Their vast menu has something for everyone, including beverages, tacos, burritos, vampiros, sides, kids menu, and paletas. Currently, they have locations in Naperville and Vernon Hills, and they also provide pop-up taco stand service for private events. It’s a great place to grab a quick meal or stay a while to enjoy the delicious food with a cocktail (or two)! I was also very impressed to see a sign on their menu stating that for every meal you purchase from Invicto, a child in a developing country receives a meal too! Here’s everything I tried at Invicto:- ? Elotes Taco - classic corn tortilla taco with creamy delicious corn- ? Hongos Sope - thicker tortilla base cooked with cheese and served with mushrooms and toppings- ? Elotes Vampiro - Tijuana-style tostada, this was surprisingly really good and I would highly recommend!- ? Rice & Beans - perfectly seasoned and cooked- ? Cali Burrito - great size and quantity for the price! Tastes really good with the salsas from their salsa bar- ? Papas Especiales - loaded fries with queso and other toppings, very addicting- ? Chips & Queso - you can never say no to queso and fresh tortilla chips- ? Tres Leches Shake - OMG, this was so good I could not put it down. The fact that it came with an actual churro just made the experience better!- ? Horchata - light and tastyIf you’re near Vernon Hills or Naperville, definitely check this place out!

First time trying food here it was one of the best take out meals I’ve had in a long time. Yea maybe prices seemed high but not any higher than all the other places and the portions and taste were well worth it definitely will go back

We really like the food. The nice thing about this is that they have plenty options to get the sauces which you can get it yourself.

Not your regular tex mex restaurant..the food are actually good and the sauces bar is the bomb! The plate menu are big enough to share. Fair price for good portion. Order thru the screen and service is quick. I think they can only accept credit card. Recommended to try if you re in Vernon Hills area ?

Just finished my bowl. Had picked double the meat and feel like it's just little to no meat. This is the third time. Think they're charging more for less. Not sure I'll keep ordering if they're going to skimp on the food.

This was my second time eating here. Both times were absolutely delicious. Today I had a steak vampiro (a.k.a. tostada) and an al pastor taco. Both great. Also got the queso and fries, which were a delicious treat, and the Mexican chocolate shake. Unreal - chocolate + cinnamon? Best shake I’ve had… maybe ever? Go get one. You’re welcome.

Invicto is absolutely one of my favorite taquerias in the Chicagoland area. They are a Tijuana style shop with a great selection Mexican fare. The quality of the food is always top notch and the restaurant itself is always clean and has a great atmosphere.Mulas are an absolute must and my favorite item to get on the menu. It’s served with a chipotle crema that’s perfect for dipping. There is not a bad taco on the menu. The arabes pork option is usually my go to. Be sure to ask for some of the pineapple salsa. The quesabirria combo is quite the experience with the perfectly melty cheese and savory consommé. They also have 2 great vegetarian options between the marinated mushrooms or the fried avocado. The cali burrito is rarely seen outside of California, and luckily they do it justice at Invicto. Filled with queso and and fries, it can’t be beat.Vampiros are tostadas which have a lot of the same toppings as the tacos. These aren’t my favorite, but if you love tostadas you’ll be in heaven.Every once in awhile they’ll serve cemitas, a delicious sandwich with a chicken cutlet and an adobo spread. Get this when they have it!They have a great selection of sides. The queso is a rich blend of cheeses that pairs great with fries or chips. The guacamole is always fresh and packed with flavor. The elites are served in a cup (usually called esquites) and have a great lime flavor.Their aguas frescas are made fresh on site daily and are always refreshing. I usually go for the horchata which is served with whipped cream. They have a freezer filled with a ton of different flavors of flavors like strawberries and cream, pineapple, mango chili, gansito, and more. The churro shakes are pretty good, but are often too much for me. Delicious blended ice cream with a piece of churro on top.Vegetarian options: Hongos marinated mushrooms as well as aguacate frito (fried avocado)Parking: There is plenty of parking in the melody farms parking lot.
