Food is good, Nice menu choices. Service is ok. The manager always ask if you have a reservation when you walk in even if the restaurant is empty. All good.

Had a great dinner with friends, I had these great filet mignon sliders. The restaurant has a cozy feel and I loved fireplace at the front, it was freezing outside and after a minute I was warmed right up!

This is a family favorite. We love the steaks, burgers, liver and onions and the fried shrimp. Excellent service in pick up orders.

Updated (February 2024)It's really a shame. Jameson's is part of "Lake County Restaurant Week", and "Lake County February Flavor Festival", but service was really slow (at 5:30 on a Tuesday night), and the food was barely average (presentation was sloppy, steak was overcooked and lacked flavor, even the baked potato was room temperature). We had high hopes after our visit last year - it failed on many counts.Updated (February 2023)I'm sure the server had a lot to do with our experience, but night and day to our visit 9-months ago. Service was friendly and prompt (with busboys around to clear plates and refill water), we got bread (without having to ask for it), and the specials were more than just re-listed menu items. Our faith has been restoredOriginal review (Summer 2022)Decent food - easily worth 4-starsMenu is smaller than it used to be - but still a decent selection.Mediocre service - 2 or 3 stars (spent a lot of time cozying-up to another table). We had to ask for crackers when he served the soup.Manager had to come-over and explain why we didn't automatically get bread (waiter said cost saving... manager blamed waiter). Noticed the manager just walking around, hands in pocket, while the rest of the staff seemed overworked (what, too good to clear a plate or two?)- 2 starsWe've been to this location a half-dozen times in the last 3-4 years. Always came away with a feeling that they're so close to being so much more, but it's little things like no bread, or iffy service."Specials" are just a re-printing of the regular menu, nothing special here.

We had a nice dinner at Jameson's Charhouse on an expected very busy day. Our server was very attentive but not overly chatty. That probably had something to do with the amount of tables she was working. The food was great from the appetizer to our entrees. We had the potato skins and would have been happy with jus them. They were probably the best I've ever had. My steak (ribeye) was perfectly done with an outstanding flavor and the mashed potatoes were just as good. My wife had the filet and it came out more on the rare side than the medium well side that she had ordered. Knowing how busy it was she chose to not send it back. The inside felt a little like a chain restaurant but the quality of the food proves that it's not. This was our first trip to Jameson's and we will most likely be back.

Early Valentine's Dinner (4pm). Service was very good. Food was a cut above average. Started with calamari; a little tough. Nice salad and seafood chowder tasted good, but hard to find any seafood! I had crab cakes & steak. I enjoyed the crab cakes, but steak was a little tough. Cooked perfectly. My wife had shrimp de jonge...very garlicky. She gave it 2 stars.

Our waiter was outstanding!!! Attentive, helpful, friendly. Constantly stopping by and checking if we needed anything. Steak was very tender. Shrimp Dijon was delicious. I think they need to upgrade their soups and salads a bit. They were nothing special. Overall a very good experience.

Food is mediocre at best but service is horrible. Our French onion soup arrived so cold I needed to use a knife to cut through the cheese on top. After finishing the the soup I still needed to remind the server that I hadn't received my draft beer. Our entrees arrived overdone (but before our salads were brought out - we got the salads to take home). Overall avery poor experience comparable to McDonalds --definitely not what should be expected from a steakhouse.

Went to Jameson's for the first time last night and wasn't overly impressed. Our served was very slow and didn't check in on us very often. We waited on drinks including a coke and iced tea! The quality of the food wasn't terrible ,but wasn't great either. I'll have to think about choosing to go back there.

Very Poor customer service.. French onion soup was cold, drink was late, entree arrived before salad and steak was overdone (medium well vs medium rare). Suffice to say that anything they could do wrong, they did.

I am very happy with Jameson's but I really feel we had bad timing on our last visit through nobody's fault. We visited Jameson's the week after Christmas and New Year's holiday week and I know that's a tough time for restaurants because people don't go out much after the holidays. I feel like there may have been vacations and low staffing and even food stocks that affected the quality of the steaks that we had. I will be returning at a better time of the year because I think food will taste better.
