My family has been going to Maciano's for the last several years and, while there have been a few hiccups in management since we first started going there, the last couple of years have been filled with extremely good service, and really tasty food. We haven't been able to eat in as much as we used to, but we regularly get the same order every Wednesday and being it home to eat while we watch TV. The portions are generous for the price and the food always tastes fresh. One of the best qualities of the food is that it warms up extremely well no matter what you're getting, so it makes for great leftovers. The staff there are also incredibly friendly, and even on very busy days with less staff, they always make sure to keep the customers satisfied. I highly recommend to anyone who's looking for an Italian restaurant in the area and wants to support a local business!Kid-friendliness: There's nothing too formal or fancy about the restaurant, and there are a few kids dishes that taste pretty good. The food isn't exactly colorful, but it's very palatable for kids, and the few desserts here are quite good

Always fresh, delicious, excellent Chicago style pizza. I got 2 large deep dishes, separated and froze the individual slices, and flew them home to enjoy!! Reheats wonderfully. Also, I found a 20% off coupon online, which they cheerfully honored!

This place is going down hill. The service sucks. There was only one waiter today. We had to wait forever for our food. My mil and I always get the chicken lemon dish. The sauce was all butter. Spinach wasn't cooked. We did complain to the waiter about the dishes which he did nothing about. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED!! We went out for a nice meal and got sick for doing so.
