I go to McAlister’s almost every single Monday and Thursday on my work breaks, and the employee I see the most of is Maria. Maria is AMAZING!! She’s always so kind and patient and bubbly. Her friendliness is something I look forward to on those days. This girl deserves 10 raises because I have never seen her without a smile and she creates the lovely atmosphere of the deli. I cannot sing the praises of Maria enough!!! 🩷

When they first opened, the food was really fresh and delicious. But over the past few years, it feels like the quality has gone downhill. For example, when you walk in, there’s no one at the counter—you have to go to the kitchen to call someone. Since it’s an open kitchen, you can clearly see all the staff on their phones, and then making sandwiches with those same hands. Today was no different, I spent time just trying to find the cashier, and then ended up with a sandwich and soup prepared by staff who were on their phones. I couldn’t eat it. The tables are always dirty as well. I really hope the headquarters is aware of this and will make improvements

Maria was such a delight today! She was super patient and polite while I fumbled through the app to redeem my rewards. Her customer service was 10/10, and I got my order fast. I'll certainly be returning to this location!
Absolutely disgusted to find a hair in my sandwich today—this is beyond unacceptable. On top of that, this location has a consistent track record of messing up to-go orders. Side items are frequently missing—today it was the mac & cheese from the kids’ meal, previously it was chips. It’s frustrating and disappointing, especially when these issues happen repeatedly. At this point, it feels like takeout customers are simply not a priority.
I’ve even spoken to the owner about these ongoing problems, yet nothing seems to change. While we used to enjoy the food itself, the lack of care, hygiene, and consistency at this location makes it extremely hard to trust or recommend. Never again!

It was my first time going to this McAllisters deli as I have tried the one in Gurnee Illinois but honestly this deli was way better and welcoming to me. The manager Maria was on top of everything made my food fresh and came around picking up the garbage and keeping the restaurant clean. Maria asked if everything was okay and if she could bring us anything we needed. She made us feel right at home and I will definitely be coming back here again!
