Panera Bread

I went there for breakfast, but the available soups were quite limited. The sandwiches we ordered were okay, but the bell didn’t ring, so we didn’t realize our food was ready. The place was quiet though, which made it nice for a calm morning meal.

I ordered a Southwest salad with grilled chicken. There was were no tomatoes or black beans, which should have been included. There was only one very small slice of an avocado. The only added ingredient in addition to chicken and lettuce was a little bit of corn. I would not order this again. If I ate in the restaurant I could have brought this to their attention.

This Panera Bread in Vernon Hills is hands down the best! Every time I come here, my salad is fresh and my order is spot-on. Even when I placed a carry-out order just 30 minutes before closing, everything was perfectly made and super fresh. Consistently excellent!

The soup in the bread is a bit lean, but tasty. The salad is gorgeous (I especially liked the beet chips). Everything is clean, Bianca is very welcoming and patiently waits for the order (thank you). Everything was prepared quickly, the only thing in the salad is the chicken, which is a little audible from the refrigerator.. otherwise everything is great 🥰

Ordered a muffie, autumn squash soup, and lavender lemonade. Muffie would’ve been better if warmed up but soup was good. The lemonade however was awful. Tasted like mop water. I don’t like to waste food but I just could not. Boyfriend took a sip and said the same thing. The cashier up front was very kind. Restrooms need a desperate update. I don’t appreciate strangers looking at me through the door crack with my pants down.

This is a nice Panera. Good amount of seating. You can find a quiet both or there is a large open area for small group meetings. Counter staff always friendly. Also has a drive thru.
