Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Vernon Hills

Excellent food and wonderful service!! Our waiter was very attentive and very informative.

I'm writing basically regarding my meal. There were 3 adults and 1 child. My meal was the only one that disappointing. I had the Chateaubriand trio. I understand they were medallions but....they were literally one bite each. When I think chateaubriand I think much more than what I was served. The asparagus that came with it was overcooked. We had 3 sides and they were all delicious. My recommendation is get something other than the chateaubriand. It's not worth the price.

This place is wonderful. It's impressively busy, which is a testament to their excellent food and environment. I booked a private party on short notice and they (Agnes!) were especially accommodating. I am a steak lover and the filet is good but the pork chop is unbelievably good. I highly recommend!

We’ve been loyal Perry’s fans since the Vernon Hills location opened and have always loved the food and service — until this past Friday.

I ordered the Pork Chop lunch which remained consistent, but the rest of the table ordered steaks which came with a new, undisclosed seasoning or coating that completely changed the flavor — and not for the better. My father ordered whipped potatoes and received loaded potatoes instead.

Service was surprisingly poor for a restaurant at this price point. Our drink order wasn't taken for 15 minutes, then took forever to arrive, and were never refilled. The server double-confirmed our orders but didn’t check back once after the food was served, except to ask if we needed boxes. When boxing our leftovers tableside, she left mid-task to handle another table's check, and left sides we’d specifically asked to take home — they were cleared away and thrown out. As was one of the salads we'd put to the side to enjoy with our meal.

For what Perry’s charges, this experience was disappointing from start to finish. Honestly, for better flavor and value, you can get a superb steak next door at Yard House.

We had the beef wellington, pork chop and surf and turf and all of them were fantastic. We had leftovers of the pork chop and in the bag was a QR code for how to reheat it as well as a recipe for a side to go with it. We also had the tuna tar tar which was phenomenal.

Didn't get a chance to get dinner so grabbed drinks. Drinks are best I've ever had! Tried to find others comparable but have not.

My husband and I went here to meet up with friends for the first time. OMG, this place is really amazing. It is very loud and we were sat in a high traffic area but it was full. The food is great but you must try the pork chops!!!! I'm not a pork chops fan but I had a few bites off my husbands and it was just delicious. It's very pricey but the service and food was worth it to us.

We visited Perry's for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect. When we got to our table, there were rose petals circling a candle for the centerpiece. It took us a while to figure those were for us. They knew it was our anniversary because we mentioned it in the reservation.

Then our server, Samuel, was excellent. He suggested wines and an entree, and everything was chef's kiss. We dined on a Monday night and assumed the restaurant would be very quiet and half empty. As the evening went on, it filled up, a tribute to the excellent food and service.

They gave us a small dessert to celebrate our anniversary. That was the final treat on a lovely night. We will be back.

Beautiful upscale dining experience! A special date night, or birthday celebration kind of place! Great service. VERY LOUD!
