Sometimes they make you a good sandwich. Place is always dirty. Manager implied I needed to tip when paying with a credit card on the self pay device that hasn’t been cleaned since the Obama administration. Covid is alive and well at this place.

Went in on 4/18/2025 around 1145. The team rocked it. There were only 3 people working during busy time, they looked stressed as hell, but they kept it together and the sandwiches were great. I applaud you.

I've been here 4-5 times the past month and every time at lunch this place never seems ready and that definitely includes mobile orders which are soooo backed up.

I have eaten Potbelly's hundreds of times at various locations. The VH location is closest to my house and we've been ordering for carry-out from here every week for years. In the last couple of years, the orders started getting messed up from wrong sandwiches to missing ingredients. It happened at such a frequency that we've completely stopped ordering. It's sad because my family and I love Potbelly's.

App did not adjust time for apparent large orders ahead of my online order for pickup. Waited 30+ minutes past my pickup time to get my food. Up to 8 people waiting with me for their orders. Another Annoyed customer grabbed my order and left without staff calling out my name so was stuck with his order since I wasn’t about to wait any longer. All the while customers coming in and ordering were getting their food in minutes.

Let me preface this review by saying that we've been to over a dozen other Potbelly locations (including several visits the the original in Lincoln Park)
When we visited recently, the restaurant didn't look like a broom had hit-it all day. The wooden tables seemed like they were cleaned with something overly aggressive - they had a sticky/slimy feel to them.
We ordered 2 sandwiches (Turkey, and a BLTA Bacon/Lettuce/Tomato/Avocado). The turkey sandwich was fine - a decent amount of meat/cheese, and all the correct toppings. But the BLTA had only 1 slice of microwaved bacon. The avocado was really hard to find The tomato slices were almost non-existent.
We've ordered this sandwich before, and obviously, those were much better experiences (otherwise, we wouldn't keep ordering it)

The staff were nice and welcoming but the grilled chicken was by far one of the lowest quality foods one can get in the area, and also lacking much taste.

Just stop for a quick lunch! I ordered the skinny wreck and it was a pretty big sandwich! It was a little dry but overall, it was ok! Even though there we as a line, it was pretty quick! It was busy but I was still able to get a table to sit and enjoy my lunch!

The cookies are good but the rest I have seen much better at a location hours south of here! Dirty tables and bread racks mixed up in the dining room. Participation awards only for the staff.

The restaurant was clean, employees were very friendly and patient with my elderly in-laws. Food was mostly excellent, but the roast beef had too much fat and gristle(needed better trimming).

second time I order through their Potbelly website from Vernon Hills, IL for delivery and don't get the order. I call the store and the only resolution is "call doordash order was already picked up and we can't do anything else" I call doordash and they have no knowledge of order since I ordered directly through Potbelly now I have to dispute with bank since no resolution is provided.
