My wife and I waited 20 minutes before anyone stopped by to take our drink order. I assume, like so many other businesses, that Scotty's is short on staff. We ordered our drinks as well as our dinners. It took a while for the wine to arrive, but the dinner arrived within a reasonable time. Noel is always lovely -- friendly and helpful. My wife and I love Scotty's. It's a beautiful restaurant, and the food is good. My only suggestion is thatScotty's add a nice chicken dish to the dinner menu. I can't recall what chicken they have but it didn't appeal to us.

We ordered the coconut shrimp, pork chops, bison burger, & the gnocchi. The shrimp was good the sides were just too ok. The pork was very dry and the side were good. The bison burger came with a sunny side up egg instead of poached and the gnocchi was very good but the portion was small.

Always solid good food at reasonable prices. BUT...Nothing exciting...had an appetizer of guacamole and shrimp on supposedly toasted rounds of bread...soggy and the shrimp was sprinkled on. We had a bean burger, shrimp with crab but requested pesto sauce instead of what was offered, and shrimp and linguini which was dry. Uninteresting deserts.

Clubby atmosphere is nice in bar area. Service not anywhere near as professional as in Highwood. Hamburgers not as good either. Overall, disappointing as we live closer to S in 21.

Very disappointed. Let me start that the service was very good. My problem as the food. I have been here before so I was a little taken back. The pork chops were tasteless. The greek chicken...way too much garlic. I am chalking it up to an off night.

For a “free appetizer or salad” coupon with no requirement of purchase mentioned on the coupon at all, the manager insisted a purchase is required.Not sure if it’s because I used the coupon, the portion of a $15 appetizer looked like picture 1 (max 2-3 complete shrimps). A $9 salad in picture 2 looked unappealing either.Expensive and poor customer service.

Great service! Creative and great drinks including the after dinner coffees. Had the calamari with a great dipping sauce, pork chops , ribs, scallops and everything was amazing ! Great value and yes we will be back !

We had a really nice dinner at Scotty's in Vernon Hills. I did not realize it was the same owners as Scotty's on Sheridan in Highwood. The food and service were excellent and it was a nice quiet restaurant. We sat inside but there is outside sitting. Highly recommend and will return. Prices were so reasonable. Nice menu as well.

We love Scotty’s on 21. I have a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating. Almost anything on the menu can be made gluten free. They’re very friendly. Atmosphere is cozy and fun. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Everything was fantastic from the food to the atmosphere. The staff was attentive in every way. We were celebrating both of our sons graduations from Navy basic training. I had wrote that in the reservation as a note- they brought over a complimentary dessert with a candle to celebrate their accomplishment and congratulated them. They also gave a 10% military discount. The food was phenomenal and highly worth the price. Portions and dish inclusions were more than sufficient without ordering a la carte sides. Excellent atmosphere and customer service. Highly recommended!
We booked this last minute for party of 4. Had drinks at the bar, good selection of signature cocktails and bourbons. Hostess and table servers were attentive, friendly and courteous. 3 of us had steak, cooked perfectly, one of us had the shrimp and crab, very tasty and lite. Portions were reasonable, not too much, just enough. We had crème brûlée and flourless chocolate cake for dessert, just ok. Nice ambiance. We'll be back!
First time patrons. Impressive with hostess/manager. Very nice, appreciative and accommodative. Food tasted excellent, as well as plate presentation. Wished bigger portion of the Caesar salad. Only disappointment was that we were there Saturday night from 6:00pm - 7:20pm (PRIME TIME) and wasn't busy at all. Maybe 8-9 tables occupied at most. But doesn't deserve that, their business deserved to be packed, as the ambiance and food quality is excellent at reasonable prices. Scotty's needs to advertise more, as no one knows about it, because they're located in a “lower-class restaurant” shopping plaza. Locals would never believe a high-end/classy restaurant is located in this plaza.

Traveling from out of town I saw at least four things on the menu I really wanted to try. Since a halibut special was offered I still haven't tried anything off the menu. The halibut, sauces and garnish were all tasty and stellar. I wanted to go back before finishing with the client but couldn't talk my co-workers into going back so soon.

I've been to Scotty's NUMEROUS times and have always enjoyed the experience from the greeters, to the servers, to the food selection & quality and just overall feeling loved. It is one of my favorite places in the area. This past Sunday, 430p rez (Mother's Day) was a little bit of an exception. The greeter was incredibly rude and dismissive. She was off-putting to say the least. The servers and food and overall afterwards were great, but it's unfortunate that she started the experience started with that as we entered the restaurant. I'll assume it was an anomaly and she was just having a bad day... but something to note as far as customer experience. I'll surely be back, but hoping I don't run into her again...

We had a great first dining experience at Scotty's on 21. Food was excellent. Service was great. Atmosphere is OK and a bit noisy. But, overall, it was a good dining experience. We will definitely go back.
