Tokyo Bowl is one of Vernon Hills' hidden gems. It's tucked away in a strip mall off of Townline Road. Ever since I was a child, I've always asked my parents to take me here for a special lunch. Now, it's my go-to spot for sushi dates. Every dish on the menu is beautifully crafted and undeniably delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone who is a fan of Asian cuisine. If you're someone who doesn't like sushi, you should try the Korean cup-bop or the ramen instead. My favorite dishes are the mango ramen, rainbow roll, and beef cup-bop. I'd like to personally thank the business owner for being such a gentleman and providing the best possible service to all of his customers for the many, many years. You are appreciated!

Fast service & great food! The only negative I would say would be the size of the place being very small

A nice little spot tucked away on a strip mall that makes it easy to miss, but well worth the stop. My Tonkotsu ramen was delicious with a generous portion of pork chashu for a good price (~$14) compared to many places in the suburbs I've tried. I am surprised I didn't try this place sooner, but I will definitely be back to make up for that.8.5/10

This is a great little restaurant nestled in a small strip mall. Once you get inside the atmosphere is totally different from what the outside looks like. It's very nicely decorated and you feel very relaxed and can really enjoy your food. Speaking of the food, wow I love the tonkotsu ramen it's my favorite type and they did not disappoint.

Nice small eating area, very friendly, and the food is flavorful. Only thing that I would say could be better is the portion size on the meats but everything else is very good, I would definitely come back.

Coming from a very picky eater, the food here was absolutely delicious. The portions are huge for the amount you pay so it’s very worth it. I came with a friend and we felt full and very satiated.

I genuinely don't understand all of the positive reviews. My son and I ate here and both ordered standard bowls. Our rice was so wet and squishy. To say it was overcooked is a huge understatement. It was overcooked 4 hours before it was served to us. It also had a very funky taste for plain white rice. The veggies on top were really the only nutrition we got out of this meal as the rest of the ingredients were similarly weird flavored. I was worried that we might get sick after eating here.
