So so so good. We went a little off-route on a road trip to stop. Glad we did!

Always fresh food, always quick service for special orders, lovely people work here so customer service always great. This is a staple in our home for sushi dinner (grab and go).

The freshest sushi I've had in this suburban area. No frills, no extra costs, just fresh sushi, sashimi and poke bowls. Self-serve, freshly made, special requests accepted. Enjoyed the sushi very much. Like I said, fresh, tasty authentic, zero complaints. I live south of this area but come up for extracurricular activities for my daughter and every time I come through I check to see if Vans is open. Top tier sushi at a no frill value price. Don't be surprised if you walk out of there. Spending $60 $75. Not because you didn't mean to spend that much, but because it's hard to decide and you just want to eat everything you see ready to go! Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

While tucked away in an unassuming location, Van’s is my fav place to get sushi in suburb Chicago. It’s always fresh, at a good price point for what you receive, and they have an excellent selection. The service is friendly and they’ll help you out if you don’t see what you want in their case.

Bigger pieces of fish in sushi, but pretty high credit card processing fee.

The sushi is fresh, tasty, and offered at a very reasonable price. The owner is super friendly — I bought two boxes, and he kindly added a third one for free

I ordered from this location for the first time today. The service was prompt and friendly, and the sushi was fresh and very flavorful. I will definitely be back! Please put up more signage so we can see the restaurant more easily from the street. The GPS doesn't get you there in a straightforward manner.

I ordered takeout sushi, and it was satisfactory in every way. I ordered the salmon + tuna combo maki rolls (great deal!), as well as the salmon avocado maki rolls. Fantastic fish/meat ratio to rice, and everything looked and tasted fresh.
I also really appreciated whoever packed my order. They separated the wasabi from touching the sushi, which is such a teeny weeny detail, but it showed that there was attention to detail when packing an order.
I travel for work and simple sushi is my almost daily go-to because it’s light and healthy, and this order was exactly how I like it to go— fresh, delicious, and not missing order notes. Thank you!

Always fresh,tasty,good price, nice staff!
It’s a quick Sushi take out place. The rolls are good quality with good portion of fish and less rice. The ticket price is for cash pay only. Almost extra 4% for credit card😢 So, I guess I’ll prepare cash next time I go?

Pretty nice and cozy place. You may order to go or sit inside (couple tables available). They make tasty sushi with big amount of fish part inside and less rice. The only request is to make more difference kind of sushi with eel. The prices are also attractive there. They always nice and welcoming.
