Came here for a quick bite with my husband and the bar area was busy! Sat there anyways. Teresa, the bartender, did a great job at managing all her patrons! My husband and I both ordered bloody Mary's and they were yummy. For lunch, we told Teresa we were splitting a plate, and we'd ordered the teriyaki salmon wrap with sweet potato fries. Teresa was kind enough to split this meal onto two plates rather than have us fighting for room or it sitting between us. I thought that was so thoughtful! Let me tell you, the salmon was SO DELICIOUS and fresh! I was nervous the sundried tomato wrap would overpower the salmon but it definitely was a side note! The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and simply amazing (I normally do not like them, but this changed my mind!). My husband also ordered the unstuffed red pepper soup and it was by far the beat I'd tasted. The Shanty is absolutely one of my favorites!

Have been wanting to go for some time as it's one of my dad's favorite places to eat. My partner and I decided to go for date night and I was pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted kindly and there is nice ambiance in the newer part where the big bar is. We were seated in the old side which is darker, more cramped and louder IMO. Not an issue though. The waitress was really nice and efficient. The menu has a lot of options for you to try and on Friday they also include various fish fry meals. I had shrimp dejonge and my partner had steak. I had an initial concern about my food but management addressed it quickly and you can tell they REALLY care about their customers. I look forward to visiting again in the future. Great spot for date night or with a group of adult friends.
A friend and I stopped by at noon today for lunch. The Shanty Burger along with garlic mashed potatoes was simply outstanding. The burger was cooked just the way I like it.The service was great. She kept our drinks topped up and was always around when we needed her.The atmosphere in the large room is a great place to meet. It was a wonderful lunch.

Recently had lunch here with my sisters on our day out. The food was delicious, service was wonderful, and they have been in business for 50 years! I ordered the Natural Kobe beef burger, which was grilled to my liking. Medium rare. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had! The plates of food I saw coming out of their kitchen looked very appealing and will have to try something different next time I go there.
Wonderful spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is fresh, fun and tasty. The service is snappy!

Went with a group of about 8 people to Sunday brunch.The mimosas were a good price.We all received our food within 5 minutes of each other, which I always feel is a difficult task.I ordered the “avga me domates”. It was GOOD. I definitely would order that again!I realized after we got the check , I never got the crostini, which I would have liked to have tried. Oops.

What a great restaurant! We were greeted like family and served spectacularly throughout our meal. The restaurant was insanely busy, but you would never know by the quality of the service and our meals and drinks. Our dinner and drinks were outstanding. Our server was on top of her game. We live over an hour away and would not hesitate to come back regularly. Other restaurants should be copying what they are doing because they are doing it all right.
Ambiance was great! Food was really good. We had the oysters Rockefeller...amazing. My husband had the bison steak and loved it. I had the honey glazed plank salmon and my only minor complaint is the salmon was a little over cooked but overall everything was really good! We will definitely be back to try something else.

Our server Michelle was excellent and very attentive and very helpful. She made several suggestions about what to order. The Texas Redfish was outstanding and very flavorful. The Parmesan Salmon was also excellent, and portion was generous. For dessert we had the Key Lime Pie, and it was delicious and would recommend it.

The dining room and atmosphere was beautiful. The dining room staff was friendly and fast with service. The price for the hamburger and seafood was a little high for the small amount you received. The rest of the food was a good size portion for the price. Would recommend but just check out the menu first online due to the prices.

The best way to describe this place is: Fun! "Fun" comes with the whole package: "Palate, Price, and Place."© This starts with the building nodding to/replicating working waterfront architecture that is just fun and makes you want to check it out.The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting with seating/settings designed so that you still feel a sense of privacy even though the place may be very busy. Our server was prompt, competent, and fun. The bar has an amazing selection of draft taps supported by an equally amazing wine selection (Thank you for not slavishly falling in line with an IPA-only line up.). The food was great: Burgers done perfectly to order with the Farmhouse Burger being a "must have", fries, the touchstone for me, perfect, paired with a draft Porter made my dinner a perfectly satisfying and fun event! Though prices were not "cheap", per se, they also were not crazy and I felt like I got a good value overall, walking away not feeling like I was shaken upside down then taken to the cleaners. Focusing on price alone, they were a bit on the higher side for the type of food which is the reason for the one lower star for me. Nevertheless, this place is most definitely worth a try for the overall experience (btw, I did not see this place on tv as their web page proudly, and deservedly, features and I am not influenced by tv food personalities' opinions--I rely on my own experience to give a "regular guy" viewpoint).
