We ate here for lunch and we both had the $9 lunch special, which includes a sandwich, side, and a drink. I chose the pulled pork sandwich, which was good, but I was wishing it had more of a smokey flavor. They used a high quality brioche bun, which was appreciated. The fries were slightly underdone, but fine. There was a lone waitress, who was busting her butt while the restaurant was very busy. She was friendly and helpful even though she was on the run. The atmosphere was nice, with decent decor and it was clean. I would say this is a very affordable lunch option for the area, and head over heels better than fast food. With tip, my husband and I both ate for under $30.

So FYI this place is in the middle of nowhere but don't let that fool you. This place was amazing!! Great bar b que wish it wasn't so far. The loaded jumbo pretzel is a must try!! Pulled pork had great flavor. Didn't need sauce but had to try there house made sauce amazing. Can't say enough about this place except go try it!!

Got the rib dinner here with the beans and fries as a to-go order. Service was fast and courteous. The food is fantastic. The ribs had a fantastic sauce, but you can do taste the smoke underneath. The meat was fall off the bone tender and very juicy. The beans were delicious as well. The fries were, unfortunately, a little under done, but that might be because I was early to the pick up time. But all in all, it was all wonderful meal.

Girlfriend and I came in close to 7pm this last Saturday. We are from east peoria but I've been seeing this place non stop on Facebook. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the Owner. He was very welcoming while explaining they are short staffed today and wait times might be a little longer than normal waiting for your food. No problem at all for us but we appreciated the heads up and knew it was worth the wait. We had a great experience at Stringtown BBQ. The food was amazing. Might be the best BBQ I've ever had and same with the MacNcheese. Girlfriend and I shared the pulled pork and brisket while I had the MacNcheese and steak fries and she had the cowboy baked beans and slaw. We loved the food! Also while there, the owner himself and the 3 different servers there that night all walked by and checked on us at different times. Everything was great and we will definitely be back! Thank you for the amazing food and outstanding service.
