“The best pizza I have ever had! Hiding in a tiny little town called Washburn. I live in a town not far and only just heard about it. It's my favorite pizza place now!”

“The food here at Stringtown was delicious!! I had the brisket plate and she had the pulled pork plate. Comes with a generous 1/2# portion of meat along with 2 sides and a cornbread muffin. The food (all of it) was delicious and I can’t wait to come back! Super fast service, like lightning fast. The owner was there and stopped by to say hi and make sure the food and service was good which I really liked, don’t see too much of that anymore but was really nice. Brisket had the perfect amount of smoke, flavor, plenty juicy and not dried out. Same goes for the pulled pork. Very reasonably priced. Nice fully stocked bar available as well. First time here at Stringtown, was very impressed, can’t wait to come back! Next time I’m going for the baby back ribs!”

“Where should i start! they are the most wonderful people ever. Their bakery section is amazing and tasty; their normally every day food is also delicious. Ah lovely people they definitely feel like a family and the environment is also so homey and very welcoming for students who need a quiet place to do school work. They are also allergy friendly! love them:)”

“The food was good, but the coleslaw was a bit small. The menu was cool, but hard to read. The service was great as there was (usually) a person at the counter. Although there was nobody else there, it took roughly 5 minutes to get 2 meals after we ordered them. The atmosphere was amazing as you could smell the bbq, amazing music, and an overall great design. If the coleslaw was bigger and the menu was more direct so I could read it, then it would be 5 stars. Overall I still suggest this place if you are in the area.Parking: Really the only parking in on the street, which there's not a lot of if it's packed.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance has a ramp at it that leads into the building.”

“Found by accident, 5 mins before they closed and managed to eat the best cookie in the parking lot and sent my husband back in to grab the last one. Was able to get the last cupcake just had that and to say the least it was amazing! Young girl waited on me, so sweet, spoke highly of her town, if she wasn't the owner or related to them they have a five star employee. Definetly will make the 45 minute drive back to experience more of what they offer! I would highly recommend!”

“I recently brought a group of about 30 to Geo’s, and we had a great experience. The manager was great about ensuring we had enough space and answered all of my questions ahead of time. We had only one server for our group, but she handled our orders and needs with ease. Everything came out on time and was excellent.We also get takeout every few months, and it’s always delicious!”

“We stopped by Gatorz on our way home from late night softball in Peoria. It was close to their kitchen closing and they graciously took us in. The service was awesome! The food is INCREDIBLE. Our new favorite pit stop! Our kids enjoyed the food too! Burnt ends and Mac n cheese, cheeseburger, thin crust pizza and wings. Everything was fantastic!”

“Have known Tina since she was a little girl. She was friends with our daughter and in the same class. She and her husband are excellent cooks and strive to give Roanoke good food and old family recipes. Roanoke natives really enjoy the Monge family recipes from Club 116 which her family owned. “I came here because I wanted to try a coffee shop outside of Peoria and the Heights. I must say this is one of the best shops I've been to. They have so many flavor shot options. “I went here because I was looking for a house in the area, thought I'd stop to grab something to eat. They were closing early that day, but to my surprise the people and the owner were very nice. They stayed open long enough to talk to me about the area , and answered any questions I had. Even gave me a few drinks on the house. The hospitality was amazing, something I'm not use to and very much appreciated. Especially after a rough year for business being closed because of the pandemic, the owner was very kind. This is a beer and shot kinda place and town, it's a very clean bar, friendly staff and people, beautiful water view. They serve food here, drinks are an awesome price, they always have entertainment or something cool going on at the bar on the weekends. A definitely must go to place , if you're ever in town. “First of all, I should share that there is currently no food here except frozen pizza, so I'm not sure why it is listed as a grill as it is just a really fun place to hang out with alcohol. There are dart boards, pool tables, hoops and golf! Plus 7 TVs for viewing your favorite sporting events. I do know that when Metamora plays - no matter what sport- and it is televised the Room will always be showing the local boys and girls!”

“My son loves visiting this location not only for their Sundaes or happy meals, but because they have a very well kept indoor Playground. To my knowledge, I would like to say it's the only location to still have this indoor playground, just like when I was a child. We appreciate this facility because on hot days, we can still bring him somewhere he can run around wild. Staff is incredibly friendly and supportive. They literally are always friendly, amiable, and patient with customer service. Management was great. Came between shift changes and they were so polite and informative.
