“The food was good, but the coleslaw was a bit small. The menu was cool, but hard to read. The service was great as there was (usually) a person at the counter. Although there was nobody else there, it took roughly 5 minutes to get 2 meals after we ordered them. The atmosphere was amazing as you could smell the bbq, amazing music, and an overall great design. If the coleslaw was bigger and the menu was more direct so I could read it, then it would be 5 stars. Overall I still suggest this place if you are in the area.Parking: Really the only parking in on the street, which there's not a lot of if it's packed.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance has a ramp at it that leads into the building.”

“Definitely worth a visit, a local bar and grill in lacon has an outstanding offer, delicious giant food portions for way under price, I had the garlic cheese curds a tenderloin larger than my torso, I will be eating this all day and I'm so lucky!!”

“I came here because I wanted to try a coffee shop outside of Peoria and the Heights. I must say this is one of the best shops I've been to. They have so many flavor shot options. I didn't expect that in a small town like this. Also, the barista Brad was super kind, helpful and made a great latte!”

“I went here because I was looking for a house in the area, thought I'd stop to grab something to eat. They were closing early that day, but to my surprise the people and the owner were very nice. They stayed open long enough to talk to me about the area , and answered any questions I had. Even gave me a few drinks on the house. The hospitality was amazing, something I'm not use to and very much appreciated. Especially after a rough year for business being closed because of the pandemic, the owner was very kind. This is a beer and shot kinda place and town, it's a very clean bar, friendly staff and people, beautiful water view. They serve food here, drinks are an awesome price, they always have entertainment or something cool going on at the bar on the weekends. A definitely must go to place , if you're ever in town. “The food here at Stringtown was delicious!! I had the brisket plate and she had the pulled pork plate. Comes with a generous 1/2# portion of meat along with 2 sides and a cornbread muffin. The food (all of it) was delicious and I can’t wait to come back! Super fast service, like lightning fast. The owner was there and stopped by to say hi and make sure the food and service was good which I really liked, don’t see too much of that anymore but was really nice. Brisket had the perfect amount of smoke, flavor, plenty juicy and not dried out. Same goes for the pulled pork. Very reasonably priced. Nice fully stocked bar available as well. First time here at Stringtown, was very impressed, can’t wait to come back! Next time I’m going for the baby back ribs!”

“Excellent coffee and food. I would go back in a heartbeat. The only issue I had is that the server didn't come back after we got our coffee. She was very friendly and helpful otherwise. They were slammed. I would say they might consider different management at busy times. I say that because they were doing busy work instead of helping us. We were standing up trying to get their attention, but they were hyper focused on busy work to get caught up after the rush left. I definitely recommend this place.”
