Dear Management,
I’m writing to let you know that my friends and I will never return to your restaurant after how poorly we were treated — not once, but twice.
We’ve met at Lindy’s many times since it’s a central location for us, but the last two times we were rushed, told we had to leave, and basically kicked out because of your so-called 90-minute table limit. Both times, there were plenty of empty tables, so using “reservations” as an excuse was nonsense.
I don’t care what your policy says — it’s a ridiculous rule that completely kills the dining experience. I’ve eaten at restaurants all over, and I’ve never been told I had to leave after spending good money on food and alcohol. Treating paying customers this way is extremely rude and unprofessional.
We’ve already told our friends and family about what happened, and they’ve canceled their upcoming reservations. I will also be writing a public review to make sure others know how your staff treats loyal customers. Honestly, after the way we were treated, I feel like asking for a refund.
What a disappointing way to run a business.

We just had an event at Lindy's Landing in Wauconda and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The room was set up beautifully, the food was delicious and the staff was so wonderful, helpful and so easy to work with. Joyce, Michelle and Julia were amazing, so kind and just really made sure our day was perfect for us! I cannot wait for our next event I have already scheduled for June.

We have gone to Lindy ‘s Landing in the past for lunch and have enjoyed our meal. This was the first time going there with friends for dinner. Several of us ordered ribs and were notified upon ordering that the ribs sold out. My husband ordered a filet and his entree was quite a bit smaller than another guest at our table and he said it was not tender. I ordered chicken Parmesan and it was ok. It could have used more sauce. Our waitress was good. She was friendly and attentive.

Still thinking about getting charged $5 extra for these Truffle fries. Burger was overcooked. I don't send back food though.

Celebrated my parents 57th wedding Anniversary on the outside desk. Great food!
This is more of a very huge disappointment in Lindys than a review of their food. Made reservations for their Oktoberfest celebration which has very good german food, and we had been there for that these past 2 prior years. When we arrive at 630pm on Sunday they say they are all out of their german specials!! WHAT? That was entire reason for us going there this weekend, plus was really looking forward to it. Waitress tells us this happens every year, wait wtf? Whoever is placing the food order should know better by now if this is a reoccurring yearly theme with them, just poor business practice Id say. Please learn from your mistakes Lindys!! Great Wauconda restaurant, beautiful beachfront property, nice staff would recommend if in Wauconda area. Need to work on this issue though, as will try again next Oktoberfest and hope dont have to leave disappointed again.

We got seated quickly on a Saturday night, party of 3. It took a little longer than usual to get our drink order in & to get our appetizer. Ordered the cheese curds. They were unique; if French toast sticks, cheese curds and tofu had a baby, it would be these cheese curds. We actually liked them, a nice change from run of the mill cheese curds. Our dinner came out at perfect timing. We ordered the fish & chips w/ upgraded garlic-truffle French fries. The fish was a big filet & very good, the fries were delicious too. I ordered the chicken schnitzel (from the German Fest menu ) which was very good. My husband ordered the smoked Gouda burger, good burger w/ delicious toppings. Overall pleasantly surprised on the quality & taste of the food! I like to cook & if I can make it better, I’m disappointed I went out. I am definitely glad we went to Lindy’s tonight! Server was good too. Everything was a bit expensive, but definitely was a treat.

The atmosphere and food were great, our server Emily was awesome. We went there for their Octoberfest menu, this weekend only, and were a bit surprised when we were told they ran out of sauerkraut. Otherwise everything was great.
