HORRIBLE. Paid $16 for 8 marble sized meatballs that were so dry, you couldn't eat them... and the coal fire pizza was just burnt and not even cooked through.. Dont waste your money here!!!! Probably some of the worst food Ive had in the Chicagoland area!!

I just picked up a caesar salad from Slyce today and when I opened it at home I saw that they changed their croutons from the nice soft bread ones to hard ones that look like they’re picked from a bag. Although they still used a caesar dressing, the dressing looked and tasted different. Also when I looked at the menu earlier, the Sicilian salad I usually get, that used to be $16 which is still expensive as is, was up to $20 now even though they changed the sizing from a dué and larger size to in between the two sizes, so I’m confused why they brought up the price even more for being in between sizes and having poorer quality as well. Paying $20 for a salad is way too much.

Dropped in to try Slyce for the first time while killing some time. Really nice place with attentive service. There were many appetizing items on the menu, but I was there to try the pizza. I am going to grade on a bit of a curve here, but I will start by saying that my crust was not very good. Bottom was burnt pitch black. There is definitely an art to cooking in that sort of oven though, and I know it will create some variability in the results. I was there right at open and my assumption is the temp hadn't really gotten locked in yet. That said I love all the toppings, and the sauce is a delicious. So, all that to say, I don't think I got the best of the best Slyce has to offer. When the crust is nailed, I suspect it is amazing. I am interested in trying again sometime. Also really want to try the wings

We love the food. However, this evening we placed a take-out order for several items for a total of $60+. One of the items is their Sicilian Salad ($16) which is fantastic. However, we have gotten this previously and know that the amount of salad dressing that is provided isn't enough for the entire large salad. So, when I picked up my order I requested another small container of dressing. I was told that I would have to be charged for it. I found this response incredibly petty and short-sighted. I don't think the 5-6 TBLS of additional dressing is too much to ask. This type of horrible customer service will make me think twice before ordering from Slyce again.

Pizza was delicious! We did the Margherita and one DIY pizza with pesto and balsamic glaze and they were both amazing. Perfect amount of cheese and crunch to the crust!

Seated promptly. Service was just great. We had the baked cipollini with cheese appetizer served with bread. You'll want to really like onions to have this as you'll still be tasting it the next morning. That said, this our second time having it and enjoyed it. Our two pizzas were excellent and we had leftovers of everything to take home. It is a different type of pizza so read their description of it....it is accurate. Appreciate that they use a reservation system as we drive about 40 min to get there.
The pizza and salads were surprisingly inventive! Our waitress Katie was phenomenal and remembered us upon our second visit. We came back for a third and missed her. Pleasant and polite young lady!
The food was great, as always, but the service was not consistent with past visits. After waiting for more than 20 minutes to pay our bill, I had to ask a different server to help coordinate payment. However, it was the end of the evening and there seemed to be insufficient staffing for the number of parties, so that could have been an issue.
Got pepperoni in the salad, it was weird to have meat slice in there. Service was ok, took forever to get the server back to finish checking out. We have had better experiences here before but this time around it was below par.
I truly phenomenal experience. Our server, Gianna(?), was incredible. This was our first time at Slyce and she knew the menu and gave recommendations. The food was delicious and we ordered extra for leftovers. Like I said, a truly phenomenal experience.
