In town working for the week. First time I went I got the ribs, red skinned mashed potatoes and Big Tony’s Mac and cheese. All amazing.Went back the next night for burnt ends. Burnt ends are my BBQ go to and they are top notch. Got a big container of the Big Tony’s this time. It might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.Help behind the counter is awesome, offered suggestions when I asked. I might volunteer to come over here and work again just so I can go back.

I am a truck driver and I eat barbecue from all over the US and I live a little more than a hour from Big Eds and I drive there about once a month it's the best I ve ever had but it's not cheap so be prepared

Went here after son's boot camp graduation. Place was packed and food was amazing. BBQ sauces on point. Perfect for the burnt ends and smoked sausage
My mouth is watering thinking about their BURNT ENDS! Worth the cost… they melt in your mouth and are seasoned and cut to perfection.I also love their mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, cornbread muffins (they’re perfectly sweet), and sweet potatoes! I’m not a big BBQ sauce person but I love their sauces too!I love that they are black owned and always helping locals in the community! I will always support them before anyone else in the area! There is no competition here!Their key lime pie is also delicious!

I wanted some barbecue. Initially I was going to try a resturant in Vernon Hills, but decided to support a black owned business in the community. HUGE mistake! I got the combo tips and ribs. UGH!!!! The meat is dry and unseasoned it taste like it was baked in a oven. The baked beans taste like Campbell's can beans, the corn bread is dry. I paid $29.00 for what? 4 ribs and 12 p tips. I'm beyond disappointed. Consequently, I will NEVER go back. Needless to say I threw it in TRASH.

Tried this BBQ Joint for the first time and it was pretty good. I loved the laid back atmosphere and even though there was a line to get served, it moved fast and efficiently. The staff checked on our table and went out of their way to bring out an additional to-go order while we were dining in.The brisket was good, but I wish it was a tad more moist. I’m from Texas so I am picky about brisket! Overall it was good & the best I’ve had in Illinois. The meat portions were awesome! The mac and cheese was delicious! The beans with pieces of brisket was also amazing.Definitely be back!
