Cemitas Frida Restaurant

I’ve been looking for good pozole that has FLAVOR for a while now. I was going to go to tolucas next door because I already knew how their pozole tasted and it’s good , but they were closed. I am happy for that because i would have never known just how amazing this place would be! I got the green pozole and the flavor was just right!! And they give little seasoning packets on the side but it’s already good enough without it if you ask me! The only thing I would say is that it has ALOT of hominy. There’s definitely still meat in there but I would like more meat next time or less hominy. Either way, I’m definitely gonna be getting pozole from here!

Honest review... So far the semitas and tacos are really good... Semitas are just delicious... Waukegan really need it a place where to find good semitas.. muy ricas ... No cambien la receta... 👌🏾

Their cemita de pollo with the chipotle sauce is my favorite. I also had their caldos with the veggies paired well. Bien sabroso todo.

Cemitas Frida is a lovely, cozy little neighborhood restaurant with authentic and very tasty food with great selections. The service was friendly and unhurried. This was my favorite restaurant while staying north of Chicago for the week. I highly recommend Cemitas Frida for those wanting a tasty meal.

We were so glad we found this place! The seating is limited, but the food is delicious, and our party of six enjoyed the colorful atmosphere. We had tacos that were full of meat and flavor, burritos that were a full meal with chicken, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Many folks came through for take out. Highly recommend this place!

Incredible Mexican food. Fast polite service. Extremely authentic. I saw Alambre tacos on the menu, something you don't see just anywhere. So I had to get them. They didn't disappoint. Thank you!

The food was absolutely delicious! I had been craving birria ramen, and my husband was craving quesabirria tacos. 🌮 They were both very good. The only thing I think was missing was a spicy sauce. Other than that, it was 10/10 ⭐️

I ordered 10 tacos and a gordita and they only gave me 4 salsas for all that food and no limes. The asada had a lot of chewy and fat in it so my kids didn't want to eat it, the gordita only had chicharron on top and on the bottom was only beans.. Small portions and bad costumer service I asked for 2 more salsas and was charged for it. Never going back ,almost $50 which was not worth it. I do not recommend

I tried the pozole verde and it was delicious, I had it to go and it was still perfect temperature hot, just wish it was little bit spicier but I understand that not everybody likes spicy, so not a big deal. The flautas were really good, crunchy, and the chicken wasn’t dry. Prices are fair.
The place looks clean and the staff is nice.

Delicious authentic Mexican food, it's a small place, but food is delicious. Best Al pastor tacos and Beef soup were amazing, definitely going back. It's worth the drive❤️

This place should be more highlighted; the food is really good. I got a taco of pastor and suadero, also I got tripa and cochinita pibil, and they were all delicious.
