Little cockroach I seen in the bathroom . Omg so gross and had to cancel my order .. you guys need to be clean .. cockroaches are not sanitary and get into food !!

The place itself could use some updates it's a bit outdated as are most hole in the wall, mom and pop joints but I've been coming here for years and they do not disappoint. I've never tasted a difference in 18 years their seasoning has stayed the same for many years and they offer some items that you can't get anywhere else like Tepache and quesadillas de huitlacoche(corn smut aka Mexican Gold). They also hand make their quesadillas tortillas out of masa which is hard to find nowadays so it's a huge plus in my books. Their horchata is legit too, just like homemade.

Parking: It can be hard to find parking at times since it's free street parking but most of the time it's pretty easy.

Kid-friendliness: They have many kid friendly options for the picky little ones.

Every single Monday, I order the same exact meal: Mojarra. For months now & I have not had that anywhere else. I LOVE IT!! & today, was THEE BEST!!! Next time, I plan to go there & dine in!! “Mí corazon!” My hometown is Waukegan, IL. I will always value the authenticity of Golosinas! Much gratitude!!

Haven’t tried this place in a while, went a few weeks ago. The food was not up to par at all, and no flavor. They need to step it up in that kitchen back there, because it’s nowhere near how it used to be. Felt like a waste of my money and time going there.

Best gorditas in town.

As I read other reviews on this restaurant, I decided to check it out. The food was ok, but not as good. They don't serve chips and salsa as other restaurants while you wait for the food. My order was not taken properly. When I asked for no onions on all my tacos, they added extra onions instead. I ordered a lengua taco that did not have any taste; i'm glad I only had 1. The others were El Pastor, and these tacos were ok. The environment seemed depressed as there was little lighting, and the tables were not cleaned. I had to skip a few tables to find the cleanest and found one that was slightly dirty, which I had to clean myself. As the menu was brought to me while I was cleaning the table, the lady saw what i was doing and did not apologize nor offered to clean it.
