First time trying Jamaican food! I’m Mexican so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Sean and Sharon really hooked me and my friend up! Really nice people. Made us feel at home 🙏🏼 We got 3 Jerk Chicken tacos with everything and let me just say that they were amazing 🔥 definitely a hidden gem in downtown Waukegan high recommend 👌🏼🇯🇲
Even if you aren't in the area, make your way over here! You will not be disappointed. This food was SO on point. At one point I asked who Mom, Grandma or Aunite was in the kitchen. We ate a bit of everything and it was ALL AMAZING! The Owner and family even stopped to speak with us. Wishing them blessings and consistent customers all of 2024! Smoothie were super fresh too.

A great Sunday afternoon lunch with enough leftovers for dinner. Reasonable price for the food options, friendly service and items packaged well for travel home. I hope the restaurant stays around and I hope to try some of their soups on another day when available. Happy to have authentic Jamaica cuisine accessible in Lake County without having to drive to Evanston. We also enjoyed a delicious banana pudding that I ended up having to share with a family member and a beef patty....
