If you’ve ever worked in a restaurant… you know what old frying oil tastes like. The rice was the only thing edible, even though it tastes like straight oil. The general tso chicken and the sesame chicken were 1/2 way filled with broccoli on the bottom. The crab rangoons were undercooked. Not ordering again.

So having been going to this place since I was young girl and I then ate meat and loved it. To now a grown Goddess who doesn't eat meat, I went back after not coming hear for years and food was good as however they need more healthy vegan options and they should offer delivery since u can't dine in. All in all I enjoyed the food and the lady and man working we're very kind

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe it's an off day, but my general tso chicken had some cold/frozen pieces in the middle, which I find unappetizing. That aside, the rest of the food was just ok, nothing special... Given plenty of other Chinese food restaurant options around, I don't think we ever intend to be back.

One of Waukegans tried and true Chinese restaurants. Don't let the looks deceive you. Great fried rice and egg-rolls. Cash only

I will start by saying that this is, in part, my fault. So, before going to a restaurant I always check their reviews. I read a few negative reviews that were posted here recently about Ming Toy in Waukegan but decided to ignore them because most people were giving 4 to 5 stars. So, I went ahead and ordered orange chicken and pork fried rice. When I got home and opened the bag I found a container of white rice instead. That floored me but I decided to just go ahead and eat it. Well, half way through with my orange chicken I found nothing but broccoli. Yes, they filled almost 1/2 of the chicken container with broccoli. Hmm...Needles to say, I was very disappointed. I will get my Chinese food somewhere else from now on.

This place totally ROBBED us!! I used to like this place but after my last experience, good luck. I asked for sesame chicken and they put broccoli on the bottom of the container to fill it up. They charged me $2 over what I was supposed to pay, which by the way I spent $70 unbelievable!!, and they couldn’t give me a full container of chicken? Why would you put broccoli to fill up the container? Also, we paid for a quart of fried rice and they gave us white rice. You will NEVER see us again!!!

The food is always fresh. They’ll always get my order right. I’ve been coming here for 40 years! My adult kids live about 50 miles away but whenever they come to visit we ALWAYS get Ming Toy, nothing compares. My favorite is Chicken Hong Sue and the chicken is always perfect. My new son in law doesn’t have a Ming Toy favorite YET, so he tries a bunch of things, and EVERYTHING is great! Any friends who come back to Waukegan from out of town always stop for Ming Toy. It’s a treasure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️Parking: Parking is on the corner of Lewis and Yorkhouse. It’s tricky if you aren’t used to it, you really need to be careful.

First off I should’ve left when they said they didnt have any duck sauce? YALL SERVE CHINESE FOOD. The food is TERRIBLE Ive lived here 4 years and never tried this place until today. First and last time. I should’ve just went down the street to the REAL CHINESE FOOD china garden.. they have duck sauce and the food NEVER MISS. I wasted my time and money. Idk why I ruined my day with this mess.. the shrimp fried rice has more eggshells than rice! And no veggies.. then it smelled like ciggs inside.. I cant make this up..DO NOT GO
