The food and service were excellent. Only Cubs game on every tv. Asked about White Sox game or other baseball game and was told no. Very few tables in dining area taken so one tv with a game other then the Cubs would have been nice. Just not good business.Wheelchair accessibility: Had no trouble with wheelchair at a table.

It's very unfortunate that my first time experience at Hawthorne Backyard was needless to say, unpleasant.I guess my partner and I decided to go on a day the staff was stressed out with each other and took it out on the guests.Ultimately, the experience was based on the bartender. My partner and I decided to sit at the bar to watch a game.The bartender was very dismissive and rude, and not engaging or inviting.Total opposite of what you would get from a bartender. Not personable at all! Didn't greet us until after 15 min. Of sitting at the bar. The bartender and I made direct eye contact the moment my partner and I sat down. I also had to retrieve our menus to look over for the food we decided to not order after we knew this place wasn't worth our time or money to be spent.I worked in hospitality and fine dining for 10+ years.This was really a poor experience.Never coming back again.
Everything has meat - even the salads. I ordered a side of potatoes only to find out they had bacon in them. Wish they had more healthy and meatless options. Good thing for family feud.

Second best BBQ I've ever eaten and by for the best I've experienced in Illinois. Little on the pricey side but as the old saying goes...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Well worth the price. Will definitely be back.
