The shawarma was the best I have had since leaving the Middle East 2 years ago. Mr Ali was so friendly and nice. The food was so much fresher than American fast food. Highly recommend.

What an incredibly cool West Peoria destination for both fantastic food and sweet service!!
We live a couple hours away but were looking for some shawarma while visiting friends. Found Curly through Google, naturally. We called in a to-go order later on a Wednesday night, and they couldn't have been more helpful or nice over the phone.
When we arrived 20 minutes later, our steaming food was just being wrapped up, perfectly timed. We received a friendly greeting from both dudes working the counter, and lots of garlic dip, a great recommendation for a new drink to try (Freez, I think?), some pleasant conversation...and there wasn't even a tip screen when we were paying! (I mean, how often do you WANT to tip but can't? They said they wanted to make it easier and more affordable for their customers, which is so cool.)
We didn't order very widely off the menu--just got a Chicken Shawarma Plate and 3 Curly Style Plates (chicken + beef). Oh, and a baba ganoush (tasty as heck) and extra pitas. The rice was fragrant and fresh, the chicken was terrific...and the beef is why we took the time to write this review. Out of sight!
Also: the pictures on these reviews do Curly justice as a bright (but not too bright!), clean and tidy, and cute place to hang out for a bit. Stop by and support this gem!!
