I order the chicken basil this weekend. And let me say it wasn’t that good. It had no flavor and the portion was so small. I will NOT order again from this place.

I ordered pad Thai, which is a national dish of Thailand. After I picked up my food and brought it home, it was some kind of soup. When I called to see if there was some kind of adjustment that could be made. They told me it's my fault and it's too bad. So now I'm stuck with some crappy soup and I am not going back here anymore. I have been going for the last 10 years

After searching for authentic Thai food after moving to the suburbs from the city, my family tried Chai Yo tonight and were so impressed. The food was delicious! We had green curry, panang curry, pad see ew, Basil with ground chicken, and a few apps and everything was great. The portions were generous as well and we know we will be back soon for our Thai food fix.

We have eaten in and ordered carry out many times here for years. Last dine in experience was very off.
Upon entry at around 6 pm we were the only ones in restaurant and seated ourselves. We were not greeted and waited for about 10 minutes when we were abruptly handed menus. I asked when they had done some renovations, as the booths by window had been replaced with a table and decor was different, and to let server/owner know we had been there before. Was told "I don't know", and he walked away. We found the entire interaction odd. Grated, I had not dined in there for a while, but I am pretty sure it was the owner so how could he know nothing about the renovations?

We did receive water and our order was taken some time later. The salad arrived hot, with crisp fresh veggies, and tasty (tho portions a bit smaller than before). Before we finished the salad our entrees were plopped on the table. Sometime after we received the check on a tray with a short "pay at the counter", then retreat.

I paid, and left a tip. On the way out, still no more dine customers, we said thanks and again got no acknowledgement, after which we said food was good but the service was pretty lousy. Still no response.

I am hoping the place/owner might just have been having a bad day. If this has been our first experience there, we would never have gone back. Perhaps they prefer just doing carry outs now?
