“After Vesecky (bakery) in Berwyn closed several months ago, preceeded by the loss of Bohemian Crystal (restaurant) about a year earlier; we thought it was no longer worth the 3+ hr drive up to the Chicago suburbs to satisfy our Czech food cravings. We were wrong; as finding this little gem was such a fortunate happenstance. The cream of mushroom soap is wonderful, the breaded pork tenderloin excellent, the strudel addictive, the kolacky tasty, etc etc etc... And; they have jaternice, cream sausage, head cheese, etc. all of which is virtually non-existent in mid-north Indiana. This is the type of east-European ethnic deli/eatery that is becoming harder and harder to find; thank goodness we spotted it. If one enjoys Czech cuisine, this is a "must" visit.”

I don’t know if Giordano’s is THE best Chicago has to offer, but it was my first official dive into deep dish.

And look… I enjoyed it. The sauce was nice, the cheese was EXTRAAAA, and the crust was flaky, tender, and actually really damn good.

But is this pizza? 😂 I mean… this thing needed a fork, knife, structural engineering, and about 45 minutes of recovery time afterward.

Give me a greasy NY slice I can fold in half and destroy standing on a sidewalk any day of the week.

That said… when in Rome or Chicago you gotta respect the local religion. Deep dish ain’t replacing NY pizza for me, but I’m glad I finally tried it.

“I don't normally go to Starbucks, it's not my thing. But I didn't have anything better to do, and I was feeling peckish. I ordered a berry blonde and horchata frap. Since I was newer to Starbucks, I asked questions about the drinks and figured out what certain things are and how they were made. The barista was personable and very kind, offering to remake the drink if I didn't like it. I had a lovely experience as far as getting coffee and a snack goes! :)”

“The chicken tenders were a good size, the breading was yummy and crunchy, and the chicken was juicy. The honey biscuits were good too. We got plenty of food for the price. For three people we got enough for two meals for a total of $50. The people working there were very nice and the food was ready when I got there to pick it up. Easy to order online.”
