Ella's Italian Pub - Western Springs

Visited Ela’s restaurant in Western Springs over the weekend. On Sunday they have a half off pizza special. Highly recommend the pizza. It is a thicker dough, but it is absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the calamari which was just as good. Service from Rebecca was exceptional and overall good experience.

Kyah was fabulous server. Most unique , best pizza EVER! Just order it and your will be amazed how good it is. Best short rib I’ve ever had. This is our new favorite restaurant.

I went here for lunch around 2–3 p.m. and asked to sit outside. Unfortunately, after seating us, the staff forgot about our table, and we had to remind them after 15 minutes. Once served, we ordered zucchini fries, which were disappointing—they were thin like spaghetti, with no zucchini flavor, just a generic fried taste. The salmon with risotto was much better, though the portion of salmon felt small for the price. Overall, some positives with the main dish, but the service and appetizer left a lot to be desired.

Wonderful food and great service. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, so it was not too crowded but it is very large, so it felt a bit sparse. But it really is a great place.

Wonderful addition to neighborhood. Comfortable bar inside, great patio outside . Good food unusual pizza.

Been here a handful of times ..
The pizza is th Star !!
Last few times the food was not as on par with the first 3-4 times.
Staff was slow and food was slow.
The first few times i went was when they first opened.
Seems service went down a bit!

While visiting with one of my besties- she recommended that we meet at Ella’s Pub. I really like downtown Western Springs so was excited to shop and try this place!
We started with some nice cocktails- the fabulous bartender was our server! He can make a mean old fashioned!
We decided to snack- so went with the hummus and stuffed dates. Both were delicious and excellent choices.
Throughly enjoyed my night out!

We’ve been there twice. The room is beautiful. It’s extremely comfortable. The food is excellent. The service was exceptional, which is surprising these days. Cheers.

Horrible service — smelled like doodoo in there. Pizza was mid and customers looked upset. Took us 46 minutes to be sat down!! Unacceptable!

Their Sunday 1/2 price pizza special has become a joke. They’ve perfected the cheeseless toppingless pizza. If the special is no longer viable from a business perspective then discontinue it. Don’t continue screwing customers over if you’re going to continue what you’re currently doing though. Shame on you.
