Been here a handful of times ..
The pizza is th Star !!
Last few times the food was not as on par with the first 3-4 times.
Staff was slow and food was slow.
The first few times i went was when they first opened.
Seems service went down a bit!

While visiting with one of my besties- she recommended that we meet at Ella’s Pub. I really like downtown Western Springs so was excited to shop and try this place!
We started with some nice cocktails- the fabulous bartender was our server! He can make a mean old fashioned!
We decided to snack- so went with the hummus and stuffed dates. Both were delicious and excellent choices.
Throughly enjoyed my night out!

We’ve been there twice. The room is beautiful. It’s extremely comfortable. The food is excellent. The service was exceptional, which is surprising these days. Cheers.

Horrible service — smelled like doodoo in there. Pizza was mid and customers looked upset. Took us 46 minutes to be sat down!! Unacceptable!

Their Sunday 1/2 price pizza special has become a joke. They’ve perfected the cheeseless toppingless pizza. If the special is no longer viable from a business perspective then discontinue it. Don’t continue screwing customers over if you’re going to continue what you’re currently doing though. Shame on you.

We decided to check this place out, and we’re glad we did! The food was really good, and the service was actually some of the best we’ve had. We had Lucy, and she went above and beyond in terms of service and recommendations. Amazing.

Service was amazing. We got the calamari and it was decent - wished it had more calamari as opposed to peppers. We also got the heirloom tomatoes with burrata and it was OK - wish I came with bread. The side out of bread was sub bar. Pizza was amazing. Loved the Roman style. Drinks are great. Overall great place to check out - would probably only come back for pizza and drinks.

I would say 4.2 is the more accurate rating for this place. We came on a Wednesday night and it was super busy for a weeknight. Hopefully, that’s not how it usually is because the food is really good. We didn’t have any reservations but we got seated right away at this high top table. I did take off half a point because the chairs are so close to the next table. The staff had to squeeze through just to put food down, refill drinks, and clean up. Other than that, they have seating inside and outside. Free parking in that lot across the street, if you’re going for dinner. You can also park in the neighborhood. Prices were reasonable except for the arancini.

We ordered arancini alla vodka, Ella’s smash burger, and prosciutto+arugula+burrata pizza.

-arancini alla vodka 4 - Definitely some of the best arancini I’ve ever tasted. They are very flavorful and savory. The umami is prominent. The reason why I gave it a 4 is because for $12 you only get 5 small bites. I was hoping for the price, the sizes could have been bigger or they could have added in 5 more bites.
-Ella’s smash burger 5 - I devoured this burger in seconds. Very tasty. You have two stacks of American Wagyu beef patties that were cooked just right. The patties combined with the caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles, and Dijon mayo made this burger super succulent and delectable. Highly recommended.
-prosciutto, arugula, and burrata pizza 5 - this was a really great tasting pizza. The pizza is a lot bigger than in the picture. I like that they added big chunks of prosciutto and burrata. The crust is very crispy. It’s not over-salted. The herbs helped amplify the flavor in each bite.
