I stopped by on the way through Chicago. Had never heard of Oberweis before. I got a chocolate malt and it was the best one I’ve ever had. Also purchased a couple jugs on lemonade that was very good. On that way back through I stopped again to get another malt and exchange our jugs for more lemonade. I wish they had one of these in my hometown!

Ice cream was delicious, spectacular even, but it’s the little things. It”s needing to use the bathroom only to find it locked. It’s going to the water fountain only to realize it’s broken. It’s going to get water then from the container with the spigot only to realize it’s empty. It’s your shoes sticking to a days worth of ice cream remnants on the floor. It’s the little things that added together make a less than stellar experience. But the ice cream…divine.

The staff didn’t add any brownie to my brownie sundae and gave me a Reese’s frostbite when i asked for a cookie dough frostbite.

Oberweis is a staple in downtown Western Springs and truly a family favorite! The staff is always so kind, patient, and quick with orders. In particular, Alexis, who always has a smile on her face. Oberweis near us closed, so this was our next near one. Very nice area and employees were so friendly.. Banana shake was great as was the old fashioned strawberry sundae!!

This always has the friendliest workers. Has always been consistent in their output of product. Cleanliness is usually good but when a bunch of teenagers come, sometimes they leave a mess. I recommend getting the peanut butter chocolate.
