Food and service is phenomenal. True French cuisine just like in Europe.

Overall, we had a great evening and enjoyed the experience. For nearly $300, though, it is worth pointing out a few things:The wine pairings on the prix fixe menu were spot-on. Really enjoyed them. The menu selections for the three courses showed a nice variety - nearly everything sounded good. For the first course, the scallops were amazing. Honestly one of the best I’ve had.The squash soup was good, but also under seasoned. I wondered if they were intentionally doing this, but regardless, more salt would have helped. The Brussels sprout gratin was a big disappointment - incredibly salty greens on top, and bitter. I ate most of it, but was mostly wanting to steal my wife’s grilled beef across the table (which was excellent).Overall, a good experience and we would likely go back. For the price, though, I had expected every dish to be a knockout.

Vie is always awesome. The combination of preserved foods and the flavor profiles of the acids during the canning process with the excellent culinary creations of the chef are always amazing. Combine that with the tasteful and sometimes surprising wine pairings and amazing cocktails, and you have a recipe for success. The Devil in the White City is a white negroni made with Malort of all things, and it was great!I highly recommend making a reservation today if you can. You won't regret it.

Vie was fantastic tonight. We had to add one to our party and they were so accommodating. The food and the service were amazing. It is always such a great experience. So happy to have them in the Western Suburbs.

If how you elevate "mundane" ingredients is the measure of a chef/restaurant/team then this place is elite. The beet dish alone is worth going back for. They're beets. They've been everywhere and on every menu from Applebees to Alinea for the past 5-10yr. This was unequivocally the single best beet dish I have had. It was challenging, unique and exciting, while still being balanced and beautiful. That same thread follows through all dishes and even to wine pairings and cocktails. This is simply an experienced impressive team doing what they know how to do better than a lot of others. Wonderful experience.

Service was great but the food was a bit limiting if you’re doing the prix fixe. Struggled to find something that I would enjoy and had to settle. Food was a bit bland but the waiter was great. Fairly reasonable for the price and given that you’re far out in the

the service is incredible. the atmosphere is very cute. the wine is excellent. the food is only okay. I'd go here again (maybe for happy hour) and get a small plate and wine, but I wouldn't pay for the full three course menu again. the food isn't worth the price point.

It’s been a little while since I’ve been to Paul’s restaurant, but I thought it was absolutely amazing. It was certainly farm to table. He invited us into the back and it was one of the more unique restaurant experiences that I have, and the pleasure of encountering. Absolutely amazing.

Dined here for the first time to celebrate a birthday (I made this clear in the reservation and requested anything they could do to make it special). Food and service were excellent, both a 5 star rating. However, for the price point, our experience with the atmosphere was deflating and quite poor. When entering Vie, the hostess was great and the front dining room and bar was buzzing with great energy. Unfortunately, even though there were plenty of open tables, we were then led through multiple dining areas, with more open tables, and seated in the furthest, brightest and most desolate area and table in the restaurant. By the time our main course arrived, we were the only ones in our isolated dining area at 9pm.Moving to their new space may alleviate this issue in the future but, for the price point, the experience (which is a big component of this type of dining) fell well short and it’s difficult to justify a return trip.

Just wow. In every way, this restaurant was superb. My husband & I were there last night, celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary. The wait staff was kind & knowledgeable; the decor & ambience perfect, not stuffy yet elegant & somehow hip. Now … the food … DELECTABLE!! Other reviewers have mentioned “small portions,” but fear not - we ordered the crackers, pickles, and pimiento as an appetizer, and the 3-course menu. It was so incredibly delicious from the start that I moderated (took home some from each course) to be sure I’d be able to enjoy the rest of the meal. We also did the wine pairing which was more like a generous wine flight. My husband really enjoyed all of these aspects as well. The only downside is I was too full for dessert ! Eager to check out the sister restaurants and return to this one again! (We left with a copy of the chef/owner’s cookbook!)

Just wanted to update my support for this fine restaurant. Love this place, sophisticated but not stuffy-don't wait for a special occasion, just go. Food is always excellent and interesting-fresh!! Always treated well and civilized. Prix fixe well worth the value. Enjoyed the wine pairing. Cocktail- rhubarbarian was memorable!!

First time there today, went for drinks and dessert. Overly impressed!! Beautiful interior that was clean and warm. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and professional. They have a unique menu for food that does not match my palate, however the desserts hit the target!
