Katy's Dumplings - Westmont

I wanted to love this place from all the great reviews but it’s just ok. I came for the soup dumplings and was disappointed. I’ve tried them twice now and each time the dumplings had little to no broth though the flavor is good. I’ve also tried the egg rolls and chicken fried rice and both were greasy and the rice texture was off, seemed old. I will not be going back

The dumplings are soooooo good. Staff was friendly and answered my questions about some of the dumplings

If it weren't so far away from where I live, I'd be here all the time. I had to take a special trip 40 minutes just to eat here, but it was worth it! I can't wait to come back.

We ordered eggrolls 2 for $6 and got 2inch spring rolls. Not happy with this purchase.

Can't wait to go back. Trust the reviews, this place is amazing. We snagged the very last table -we were early for dinner and felt luck we didnt have to wait. Ordered a ridiculous amount of food and ate our faces off. Had two types of dumplings, noodles and a stir fry. Everything was superb. The dining room is super small.

This is a cozy place to sit down for some amazing food. I had the Mongolian beef and Chung du dumplings. You know the place is great when they have the chili oil.

This review is for takeout. Got eggplant, chicken with mixed veggies and wonton soup.

The eggplant was awesome, great flavors and bit of spice went very well with the rice. However, I was not a fan of the eggplants swimming in pool of oil. Less oil would been ideal.

The wonton soup was okay. The broth was bit bland. I’ll have to try the wonton soup with noodles next time.

The chicken with mixed veggies hit the spot, the ginger didn’t overwhelm the dish. However while initially it wasn’t but as you kept eating it, the dish got saltier.

The dining area is small but I’ll have to dine in next time and try the dumplings and the noodles.

Best authentic dumplings in the suburbs - they also have noodles and stir fry dishes. Don’t have to drive all the way to Chinatown when we got Katy’s dumplings

Great service every time I come in from the usual waitress and waiter

Delicious, cozy little spot. Make sure to get there before dinner rush if you don’t want to wait
