Alex was an exceptional server. The food is not as good as it once was. And the prices continue to increase. The atmosphere was average.

A great atmosphere where I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. A very good wine selection. The meal was excellent. I had the shrimp étouffée and a vanilla cheesecake for dessert that was gigantic. Everything was excellent always a favorite place.

Please bring back your outstanding Onion Rings! They were superb. The rest of the food, especially the grilled salmon is great but the appetizer that made a visit special is gone. Hot, nice spice, crispy and oh so tasty.

The Dirty Rice was (AWFUL) extremely dry.

Horrible experience. I have not been to the restaurant in over 15 years and I had a very bad experience. My steak was coke well done when I used for medium. The management was great and took care of me by remaking my meal but the meal came after everyone else was finished with their meal. Everyone else's food was good and not great. For the prices charged at this restaurant, the food should be outstanding. The people next to my table also had a problem with one of their meals. I will not be going back.

I was there with my father and father in law. We had no idea what to expect. We were even a little skeptical about how it would be at 1145am on a Tuesday. FANTASTIC!! is what it turned out to be. Our waiter Kenny was awesome with explaining the menu and answering questions. He was on point with refills as well and that's a big thing I pay attention to. We had the pasta Mardi gras, catfish with beans and rice and the fried shrimp. 2 of us added the gumbo and salad side as well. My dad couldn't have been happier with the salad with house dressing and I agreed. The creamy balsamic (i think ) was out of this world. The gumbo was good as well. The portions were very good as I'm eating leftovers while posting this . Everything we had was delicious and we will return for sure.

I always forget how much I enjoy Pappadeaux’s, until I’m there again. And often I wish I lived a little closer because I would certainly go there more often. We went in June to celebrate three birthdays in my family, my son and my daughter and my husband. My mom sisters and nieces decided to join us. We all left there, satisfied and happy. We all arrived at the scheduled time of our reservation so we did not have to wait. We were quickly seated, and taken care of by a great team of people. I’m hoping to get there again real soon.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is a "Shell of a restaurant" of what it used to be. It is absolutely pitiful today - August 2025. Its so expensive that a family of 7 cannot afford to eat here any more. And then after they raised their prices; they got horribly cheap and chincy on all of the food portions. The raw oysters were the size of a fingernail which was highway robbery. They used to have a solid veteran staff that were very knowledgeable and helpful to you and provided good service. Today; they are no where to be found. They have a bunch of untrained rookies who takes at least 10 to 15 minutes to be weighted on; don't know anything; and only recommend the special because thats what they are told and the special is an old fish that hasn't moved. And we couldn't believe all of the food under our table. This restaurant always was so pristine clean; and now they just don't care. Its sure not as crowded as it used to be and the restaurant not caring about the customer is catching up to them. Shame on you for letting such a great restaurant hit rock bottom.

I love Pappadeaux's❣️ My type of eating goes on here. Food choices are great and the proportions are plentious!! You just can't eat it all! The appetizers, entrees, and desserts are all magnifique. The drinks don't disappoint either.
We celebrated mom's 78th year of life. We arrived way ahead of schedule and they were very accommodating. I've never had to wait 45 minutes for my food bill however. I almost walked out without paying...smh

Horrible service. The waitress was inexperienced. My wife’s food order was never put in. We waited 10 min for more silverware once my food arrived.We shared my food. Then the waitress and manger lied about the order being taken. Then they send another manger over after we asked the waitress not to come back to our table. She was rude as if she was ready for us to complain more so she could be even nastier. I know people come in complain about their service to get a discount. But we came with intent to pay so we want great service so we can tip as well. Reason i’m saying that is because there so quick to offer to comp the meal as if that’s the answer all the time. No good service good food that’s all. I’ve been coming here for as long as they have been open.I never experienced nothing like this before. I’ll try another day maybe the evening. This was when they just open.

Waiting over an hour to be seated for okay food, that wasn't even hot when it came to the table is crazy! Never again! Nice atmosphere, service was good. The food is just ok.
