Bob Chinn's Crab House

Our party of six always enjoys Bob Chin's and usually give it outstanding! The food is still fantastic, however, this time we were seated at a poorly situated table and our server was sweet but was not a good server. She didn't listen well, was slow in responding to our requests (we even had to serve ourselves water from a pitcher at an adjoining table!) and she didn't seem to notice anything. In the future we will need to start requesting specific tables and servers.

Always great prepared fish- never disappointed! We have been eating here for years since the 70's!

So sad to see Bob Chinns fade. Food was expensive and terrible. Now I understand why it was near empty on a Friday night. We went often in years past but after this visit we won't be back. Beware.

Bob Chinn's is a Chicago suburbs staple, and when you've been coming for thirty years, you're kind of chasing a memory. I get that, however, the menu is much smaller than it used to be and it was difficult to find anything with king crab that wasn't $100. I really wanted the king crab carbonara for my birthday, but even though we were there fairly early they were already out. I got the lobster roll instead, which was very plain and didn't come with any seasoning on it, even butter. My husband got the stuffed basa and that was very good. Our server was nice enough, but it was hard to find him and get his attention to refill our drinks. I might have sent the lobster roll back and gotten the stuffed basa for myself, but by the time the waiter came back, my husband and son were done eating and I didn't want to make them wait. Of the entire meal, my favorite part was the broccoli.

A bit pricey, but it was for our 48th anniversary. Not sure why Open Table asked if it was for a special occasion when it wasn't acknowledged at the restaurant.

Wonderful experience! The garlic rolls were awesome and the chicken and pasta was phenomenal :)

Came here to order the copper river salmon and it was amazing. Go there before it is gone. Celebrated my dad's 90th birthday, so they brought a dessert and sang.. Thank you.

Been going to Bob Chinns since 1989. I introduced my husband and then our children to this fantastic place. Quality has never changed over the years this is only restaurant that I actually crave.

High quality seafood at reasonable prices. Service was good but felt a bit rushed. Not busy and ambience was nice for date night too.

Food was excellent and service was great! We always have a great experience experience at Bob Chin's. Thank you for all you do!

This was another 12 out 10. Nichol was a fabulous server, food outstanding! I don't know how you did it however we had the exact table we had for Mother's Day as we did for Fathers Day! That's outstanding service!

They say our family of 7 right next to the kitchen under very loud music. The room was so low we had to yell at each other to be heard. A filet of fish, ice cream scoop of rice, and spoonful of potatoes was not worth $40. Our server was obviously rushed, but here's the thing, he stopped me as we were half way to the door in front of a room full of diners to say that I took the signed receipt with me, which I didn't. I'm standing in front of all these diners signing a second copy while he said I took it. Embarrassed, I asked him if he might have dropped it. Then he went back to look and found it on the floor in the kitchen. So I look like a dine and Dasher, on Father's Day. Well, it was memorable, at least.

I love it when the fish I want is in (Halibut) and we were able to modify some meals for some vegetarians. The service was fabulous. As everything else, pricing was a bit higher than I would of liked. Otherwise, fabulous!

Still great after all these years. Only issue is there are now so many seafood places with similarly fresh seafood at a good price point but with better ambiance.
