I know it's just a hotdog, but it's just so good. I loved visiting this place. It has a lot of history and it's all well documented on the wall as you wait for your food. The place is iconic and the kids love it. I'm just glad this is now the 2nd place in the city and so close to my job. I will be coming here more frequently. The fries are also on point. You won't find a better hotdog/polish joint around.
The food is great, the problem is that they're about 50/50 on getting orders correct. My husband orders burgers on rye instead of a bun, they screw it up about 50% of the time. How hard is that? So while they remake the burger, everyone else's food gets cold. that's terrible.

Try either of the hot dogs. My favorite was the Whoopskidawg. My husband liked the Superdawg better. Great place for trying authentic Chicago food and the history is great and atmosphere was so fun! We tried 2 types of beer also and they were very good with the dogs. Oh and a chocolate malt for dessert was nice to take on a walk by the river behind the restaurant.
