I really want to love Saranello’s, but the past few visits have been really disappointing.
Both times the service issues were blamed on the kitchen, but it honestly feels like there’s a bigger communication breakdown between the servers and the kitchen.
Tonight we ordered mac and cheese for two kids and a kids’ slider — three spaghetti and cheese dishes came out instead. I asked for extra bread for the mussels, and after waiting 15 minutes I followed up, only to be told they “didn’t know” because it comes from the kitchen. My red wine was served far too warm. I ordered a salad with salmon added — the salmon was extremely dry. I exchanged it for shrimp and received only five pieces, which were very salty. I asked for dressing on the side; while it appeared correct at first, when I transferred it into a to-go container there was a large amount of dressing pooled at the bottom, almost as if the mistake had been covered up by adding more lettuce on top.
The meal took two hours, the food was subpar, and the prices are not low. I understand that every restaurant can have an off night — but this has now happened more than once.

It was my first time here and I had an awesome experience. Damon was absolutely incredible from start to finish. He made great recommendations, was super attentive without being overbearing, and made us feel really welcome the whole time. You can tell he really cares about making sure guests have a great experience.
Honestly, the service alone would make me come back. If you go, definitely ask for Damon — he made our first visit memorable. He is fricken incredible!!!!

As much as I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, I unfortunately can't even give 1 star but have to in order to do this review. Was a solo customer and took 5 minutes to even get acknowledged with two girls working the front after other customers were helped soon before I walked in. Looked at me a couple of times, did somethings and finally got acknowledged I guess when they saw AGAIN I was still waiting. Was told there was a 35-45 minute wait for just myself. Took my name/number down and that was at 12:07pm.... I'm still waiting as I'm typing this. Atmosphere is great, Hostess, not so much.
