Order your pie first before they sell out! White pie is obviously a favorite and soo good! Green beans were perfect, mashed potatoes and gravy delicious, pork was a bit watery and flavorless but mixed with potatoes and gravy worked.
This place was great! The main reason for 4 stars is they were out of the 2 pies we wanted to try. The reason we stopped was for the rave reviews of their white pie and we didn't get to try it. We are from out of town so unfortunately we missed out. But, we stayed and had lunch. The chicken fried steak was good as was their sweet tea. Service was also good, but a lot of tables were not cleaned off the entire time we were there.
Burtons cafe was so good! I had the fried shrimp plate and my husband had the fried chicken livers, and both were very good. We had to have pie to go. I had coconut cream, my husband had apple, and we took strawberry home to my son. If you are in the area, or camping at Rend Lake, this is a must! You won't be diaappointed.
