I've been coming to this establishment for a couple of years now and it's truly a unique place. From the business itself, to the drinks they offer, to the people that work/hangout there: it's not just a coffeehouse but an experience. With live entertainment on the weekends in their sound room on the second floor, it's a great opportunity to discover local bands and network with artists/musicians alike.
They also have a little bit of everything. Coffee, tea, wine, beer, cocktails, sandwiches, pastries, desserts, milk/coffeeshakes, sodas.... there's a little something for everyone.
If you're ever looking for something to do on a Wednesday evening, they host open mic night and it's open to spoken word, musicians, comics... anyone that wants to share a talent with the world. The shop is open late most nights, especially on event nights, staying open til about 10pm-12am at night.
Vegetarian options: There aren't a lot of options, unfortunately but there are a few if you're stopping in for a bite:
Grilled cheese - a classic
Johnny Dangerously (panini) - comes with pesto, red peppers, mozzarella, and provolone
Great escape (panini) - peanut butter and Nutella
Roger rabbit (wrap) - tomatoes, lettuce, red peppers, pepper-jack cheese
Fried Green Tomatoes (wrap) - tomatoes, red peppers, guac, salsa, pepper-jack cheese
Vegan chili (SEASONAL - USUALLY IN AUTUMN)
Dietary restrictions: Very limited vegan options, mainly snacks.
Decent vegetarian options.
If you're ordering a latte, the milk options are whole or almond.
Parking: There is a rather large lot, however on show nights it can get pretty packed.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is no wheelchair access, unfortunately. There are three short sets of stairs to get to the front door of the business - no designated handicap parking.

Really enjoyed my first visit here! Stopped in for coffee, a sandwich, and to do some work on my laptop. Great spot to chill, easygoing, and welcoming. Definitely great spot for a solo visit or social visit, either one.
Vegetarian options: Not a lot of selections for vegetarian options, but they do have some on the menu. It’s a mom and pop style cafe, so I’m sure you could ask for something specific if it’s simple.

Vibe and coffee is immaculate. Not a big fan of the slot machines as they're noisy and cause losers to mill around but I get why they're there.

My boyfriend and I we are looking forward to trying this place after hearing about it from friends. The man at the front desk completely ignored us and waved his hand at us in dismissal immediately after serving another customer. However, he promptly attended another customer that arrived after us. After reading multiple other reviews with similar issues it is safe to assume they are not welcoming of poc. Let me just say, the people being serviced were white and we weren’t.

I definitely felt the Willow Springs haunted vibe in this coffee shop. If you have a sweet tooth you will love it here. The flavors are endless from English Toffee Mocha to German Chocolate Mocha. Muffins and Donuts to choose from. Cool vibe.

I've been going here since I was 16 I think, mostly going on Wednesday Open Mic nights and sometimes on the weekends. So 25 years. It's always been a place I feel welcomed and comfortable. I can go in these days and get a little bit of work done and grab a sandwich and just hang out and get a coffee or a beer after work. The sandwiches are great especially the paninis. I always feel like I'm at home.

DISRESPECTFUL OWNERS. I came here from out of town. I walk in and I have my phone up to my ear but I’m not talking to my sister because we’re both just silent doing our thing but on the phone. I stand there and am being ignored for 5 minutes straight by the owners, in straight silence. I ask them if I order here, and she says “once you get off the phone. we don’t take anyone’s order when they are on the phone.” No thanks I’m leaving. What a pathetic and rude business tactic. Was so disappointed since I wanted to try new coffee. Pathetic.

This place came highly recommended. Sadly…my friend & I won’t be returning.
We went on Saturday Nov 9 2024 around 3 pm, the place wasn’t super busy but had people there.
From the minute we walked in, we were ignored. The worst part there were 2 employees only and they walked past us, went outdoors to sit and smoke , while ourselves and other customers were left alone. In all my expectations, we walked out .. as the 2 employees were oblivious to their customers and of course us.
Sad part…we drove far , to have such a horrible experience .
Please don’t waste your time ..since I read other reviews stating they were ignored as well.
People make your business thrive and if your this ignorant , consider doing yourselves a favor ..Learn Etiquette!

Nothing is really worth the price. Staff can be a little rude at times but whatever. Cookies are usually stale. It feels like they're trying to be edgy but way off the mark. This place used to be great but not worth the stop anymore.

Great espresso, food, atmosphere, & service! Must-have when in the area! <3
Went here this morning because a gal from the Lyons Twp. Democratic Org. put together a small gathering to address postcards to swing states. Website said it opens at 10am so we arrived a little before. Not open, no signs saying why. There’s an outdoor area so we decided to sit outside and address cards. One gal went across to 7 Eleven to get water and btls of Frappuccino. When the owner arrived at 11 AM she said “You can’t just sit out here drinking stuff you didn’t buy here.” We told her we’d like to have gone inside and bought but she wasn’t open at 10 when the website said she would be. She said “It’s hot out and my husband has health issues, I can’t help it if we’re late.”
We finished the card we were writing and left, vowing never to return! Too bad because this is the first time the four of us had ever been there. We certainly won’t be back and will be sure to tell all our friends!
