it's a cute shop with dope events. beautiful forests around the vibe is great. I will say the people that work there look like they hate their lives. idk why, but yeah, they throw the vibe off. lcoffee isn't as good as it used to be either, and the cups could use an upgrade for the price, nah not worth it. if they had better cup sizes, then yeah but i wouldn't recommend spending $$ here unless they make upgrades to their customer service. not trya complain, but when u spent alot of money for something that isn't as good as it should be. it's disappointing ? we work hard for our money too.

Been coming here for years. Weekdays are ok for drinks sometimes. This place went down. Rude owners and people behind the counter. Muffins and cakes used to be homemade, all costco and walmart stuff now. Customers cutting in front of you in front of staff with no help. Don't

I would have given the place a higher rating if only they offer an option to have drinks in for-here mugs. Too much plastic pollution!

This cafe is really one of a kind. The decor and ambiance is really welcoming, I could be in here forever. It feels like I've been transported to the set of a rainy indie film. Both times I've gone, I've spoken to Ava. Ava remembered me after the first time (which was two weeks prior), which felt really sweet. I usually hate being a regular, but at a place like Ashbary, I don't mind being recognized and taken care of :) My partner and I had plenty of sweets (which were all delicious), and the drinks were quite good. I had one of the Valentine's Day specials, and they had a house coffee. Both are really great, enough to come back. This place is out of the way for me, so I couldn't come here often logistically, but it is definitely worth the drive. I love it here!!

They didn't have skim milk which is not good being a coffee shop that's been around for quite a while now.

Its a different cafe for sure but the coffee doesn't taste good here especially not for the price. There's definitely better places. I do like how it's not a traditional cafe it's very hipster. Also the pastries are overpriced considering it's very obvious that they're bought from a store like Costco

Hey “Mr. Skull”. I assume you were referring to coming in on an evening we were having the shops Christmas party. The door may have been open but only after you passed by 2 Giant orange cones with signs on them that said CLOSED on them. Maybe get off your phone or learn to read before lashing out a local business trying to show its employees some holiday appreciation.

Wonderful small town coffeehouse in the classic sense: there's open mic or concerts Thursday to Saturday at night. Local art and music fliers on walls, as well as various kitschy posters and decor. Mixture of tables that are brightly lit, and others dim. A few outlets. Large collection of ordinary bagged tea, including a chai that I had them to a London fog with. Clientele of mostly 20s-30s locals. Good selection of cookies and cakes, and small lunchy menu. Very friendly barrista and overall vibe. One odd thing is an 21-over area with gambling machines. Hey, whatever it takes to keep a coffee shop going these days.

I absolutely love this adorable coffee house!! If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by. They have great food, amazing red velvet cookies, lots of other things here like concerts, surprise! And improv nights... Great first date location. They even have gaming machines. They have it all. You're gonna love it if you stop in.

Can’t speak to the quality of the food/coffee. I walked up to the counter and said hello to the employee SITTING RIGHT AT THE COUNTER WORKING ON A LAPTOP who ignored me. My husband said hello, and was also completely ignored. We left. No way this place deserves my money when the employees can’t even greet customers who are clearly ready to order. I get it’s a coffee shop but it looks really unprofessional to have employees behaving this way. I’ll stick to the Yemeni coffee house in Chicago Ridge where the employees take pride in their work.

Not welcoming at all. Atmosphere was better than a one star but the reviews on the owners being rude is completely correct. Not even a smile out of "santa." Not to mention slow and they buy cakes/muffins from costco or sams club and sell them for a ridiculous price.
