The food is very good with good service. It is a little pricey but fortunately they have combo meals that are decent in prices. The portions are a little small but okay for lunch. Overall it's good. Recommended.
Mmm...sushi is a comfort food at Akai Hana! Good variety of rolls, nigiri, sashimi, bento, soup, and entrees. Happy that they will sub brown rice for $1. Always finish with red bean ice cream!
Akai Hana has been in business for over 30 years, and the steady traffic means the sushi is fresh and safe, offered at a good price. However, the ambiance is lacking, with an outdated, cafeteria-like vibe and cheap-looking menus. It’s a solid spot for a quick, no-frills sushi meal, but not the place for a special dining experience.
