Carlos & Carlos in Wilmette was a good night out. We enjoyed the beef carpaccio, linguine with clams, and the meatballs—all well-prepared. Loved the sangria, and the service was excellent. We also tried the cannoli for dessert—beautifully presented, though probably not our favorite part of the meal. Overall, a good experience!

Surprised how bad the food was this time
I had grilled calamari. It was the strangest looking calamari I’ve ever seen, and it was rubbery and had no flavor. The texture was strange and the dish was doused in a tomato based sauce with hot diced pepper, red pepper and Greek olives, to cover the calamari’s strangeness.
Split a salad for $14 and it was really small.
Had egg washed veal and it had a peculiar flavor

Food was really good! Great choices and variety on the menu. As far as service, the waiter showed up like twice during the whole meal, to take order and to bring us the check. Felipe (busboy) was phenomenal. So attentive, friendly and paid more attention to us than our waiter. Ambiance is VERY casual, the opposite of high end look and feel. The restaurant is crowded and the bar is right next to the dining room so you hear everything! There was some game on so there was like 3-4 people + bartender screaming and laughing the whole time we were there. Felipe was great!

2nd visit in 1 year, both times very crowded, cozy space.
5 guests arrived on time for an early dinner reservation. Seated immediately, friendly, rushed waitstaff, asked for drink orders before we had our coats off. 3/5 enjoyed seafood and pancetta pasta dishes. Roasted beet salad, so-so, as beets weren't roasted, & missing carrots, pecans & gorganzola.
Minestrone soup was hot and delicious. $14 house pino noir nothing special. Tiramisu and Cannoli desserts were large and shareable and inhaled.
Waitstaff constantly circling and clearing the instant someone put down a fork was disconcerting. Good food, felt too rushed for 1-1/2 seating

The best Ossobuco I’ve had in the U.S

3 categories of 5 stars: food, service, and atmosphere. My first visit with 2 other "firsts" and one "vet"...everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was top-notch. No glass went empty or even came close. Recommendations were excellent, food was delicious, servers and wait staff helpful, courteous and smiling ?. The sage butter...my mouth is watering again just thinking about it. Thank you, C and C...I will Definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend dining here. Excellent. No room for dessert, but they all looked amazing as well. I looked at other dishes around the restaurant as they came out and want to try several dishes just from seeing them. Worth the price of $30-50 a meal.
