Its hidden gem. Had a chance to try their gyros and fries and cheese burger. Those were awesome filling for the tummy at a very reasonable price. Guy serving food was very friendly too. Worth a try!! Keep rocking chuck wagon team!!

The Chuck Wagon is a little place in downtown Wilmette I have been eating at since I was a child.It was great to have lunch here today!! Brought back so many good memories!!! We enjoyed burgers and fries and great people!

I have not been here in almost 30 years. Not the same owners and service was ok. I had a double cheeseburger that was much smaller than the bun. Fries were good and a can of soda14.77. Not worth it!

Found this place while on a quick vacation. Fun little place which felt a little like going back in a time machine. Had burgers and hot dogs but the gyros looked good too! Staff were really friendly. Nice area to just take a stroll.

They give you nice fat chunks of gyro meat here, it's excellent. My wife and I had a Chicago dog, pizza puff, bomber special, onion rings, Oreo shake. Everything was very good and the prices were fine. Bomber Special and Pizza Puff were my faves. Great dive vibes; it's a tiny 8-stool bar with a little TV in the corner. Playing tennis when I went (hell yeah)The gyro meat was chunky and had a good bite, and with BBQ sauce on the bomber special it was insane. The onion rings are breaded and I personally prefer battered, but the breading was even and fried well, and the inside was all beautiful stringy onions. Pizza puff was fantastic, great cheese and sauce ratio and really satisfying bites all the way through.Chicago dog was good, they use a poppyseed bun (I'm sick of going to spots with regular buns, this is a real dog) except I think the sports peppers were a little heavy. Tomatoes were a little light, but I prefer that. Oreo shake was excellent, it was creamy and a little icey in a good wayThe guy was really nice too. He was great at interacting with the customers that were interested and laying off the ones just trying to enjoy their food. 10/10 spot
