I went as a guest. The service was fast and pretty good. I have tried some dishes that were not as tasty but their bolognese and eggs Benedict are excellent. They are busy and have been there for a long time so make a reservation.

We were a group of four. As always, the white bean soup was great, the beet salad had very few beets, and the Cesar salad had some brown lettuce. That said, two of us has the special halibut which was dry and all of about three ounces. I usually get the salmon which is a much larger piece. The bolognaise pasta was very good but the penne with squash was dry and needed a real sauce. The gelato was very good, but the carrot cake was dry and small for $12.95 We take out regularly from the market which is a good option.

Pork chop was overcooked and the eggplant on our pasta dish was undercooked. Soup was good, as were desserts.

Another fantastic dinner at Convito! It was noisier than usual, as we were seated in the back near a very large party. However, we were still able to hear one another speaking, so it wasn't too bad. We were actually an hour early for our reservation, so we were thankful to have been seated. And our server, in whose section we have previously dined, was as amazingly attentive as ever. The food was absolutely delicious! For starters, I had the bean soup (vegetarian base), and my husband had the house salad. For the main course, I had the salmon, served over a bed of spinach and lentils, and my husband had the fusilli pasta, which he loved. I usually order the fusilli, so my husband knew what to expect, and it did not disappoint. For dessert, we had an apple tart and coffee. The tart was the best we have ever tasted! So delicate and buttery, and with fresh tasting apple slices! The coffee is always terrific. I think they use Lavazza. We will definitely be returning, again! Thank you, Convito, for another delicious dinner! We've been dining at Convito since we were first dating, over 30 years ago!

We enjoyed the space, and the food. However, they were playing Halloween music that was candidly, gross. It was offensive and incongruous with the atmosphere. Also, the young “bus boy” kept clearing our plates while we were still chewing. That is not a pleasant experience. Allow us to slow down, and enjoy the meal, and experience .
For soup, salads and sandwiches, this is definitely the place to go. Food is great and so is the service.
