We are from Latin America. This place is amazing. The food is great. The service is great. The craft tequilas and mezcals that the owner has curated and imported are incredible.

Multiple visits; always consistently good food and service. Offbeat but broad tequila list. Menu not extensive but can't go wrong with any choice. Generous with chips, salsa. Try 3 tacos, the molé chicken, or any special. Desserts are not adventurous (key lime pie, flan) but are yummy. Note they do not take reservations, so may be a wait. Use it to pre-game with a margarita!

Ordered guacamole and it came incredibly fast. Was definitely pre-made. Ordered fajitas which weren't sizzling (that was a first for me), and again, felt pre-made and simply plopped onto my plate. Mediocre food experience. Very cute atmosphere though!

We very much love this Upper Scale Mexican Cuisine restaurant. I love their Mole sauce. Everything we've ordered has been enjoyable. As far as I know, they do not take reservations so arrive early if you do not want to wait. If you do have to wait, the margarita's are great!
Kid-friendliness: There have always been families with children when we've dined. It's downtown Wilmette so it is a very family friendly neighborhood with many restaurants! They have a great children's menu with options.
Parking: Street Parking but there is a garage 1 block around behind and the staircase leads directly to the back door of the restaurant making it an easy in/out. Garage is usually not full.

The tacos were bland and boring. My husband did enjoy the mole sauce. The service was friendly and it's a cute setting.

One of the best margaritas this side of the border. Food is awesome. When way back when this was Wilmette's train station. Now it's a fantastic restaurant.

Ordered delivery. It was fast. But the order for my wife was not edible. Requested mash potatoes and got broccolini and string beans both which my wife can’t eat due to medical reasons. Emailed the owner and here we are a week later and zero response. I guess as long as you got paid… SCREW THE CUSTOMER???NO FURTHER BUSINESS WILL BE COMING FROM MY HOME.

Awesome establishment! If you have not been to Depot Nuevo in Wilmette you owe it to yourself. Best Guacamole and an extensive Mezcal and tequila list with great crafted cocktails. Recommendations: Gauc of course, Appetizer Sampler/trio, Fajitas (Many levels above Uncle Julios) and particularly good Mole and red enchilada sauce. Best Staff in town.

The fish and shrimp tacos at Depot Nuevo are so delicious. It's hard to find Mexican food places in the Midwest that do tacos right and Depot Nuevo nails it. Their house made guacamole and chips are quite good, too! This has been a favorite restaurant for us for 6+ years.

Nice ambiance, well curated menu, fresh ingredients, delicious food, and impeccable service. My only complaint is the tortilla chips that were soaked in grease.
