First time visiting for NY and with family who are regulars. Owner came out and said hello and server was very attentive. Had the squash soup and beet salad and it did not disappoint! Will be back next time we are in town!

We came on a Friday night for date night and got the ahi jalapeño appetizer, hubby got the beef bourguignon and beet salad and I had the duck risotto. Everything was absolutely delicious, jalapeños were on the spicy side.We got a table without a reservation quickly and loved the quiet classy atmosphere. Candles & flowers were nice touch. Will definitely be back with the kids! ?

Outstanding food. I had the quiche and it was light and delicious. The chorizo potato's are so good you could have them as a main meal. The service was so good as well.

The setting inside is sparse but the food and service is excellent. It would be nice if the chef would pace service a little slower. The entrees were served almost before we could finish our salads. We will definitely be back.

Love this place. Visit here whenever I'm in Chicago. Nice, neighborhood atmosphere and a constantly changing menu that never misses the mark. Highly recommend.

Was shocked at the rude welcome at this restaurant. Was looking forward to a Friday night date night reservation for 7:30 pm based on the menu. When we arrived we were told they had already closed the kitchen because there weren’t other reservations. There was no apology for the inconvenience or invitation to come back another time.

Service was amazing. Owner was extremely nice and came out to shake my hand. The food was spectacular and the overall vibe was amazing. Service was fast during closing time and the cooks were great.

We went for dinner, which had a pricey menu, but the food was outstanding, and you save money on booze b/c it's BYOB ($10 corkage charge). Menu changes weekly (I'm told), so call before you go and they'll text it to you. Looked at brunch menu and prices for that were much more reasonable. Will definitely return.

Trying to be something its not. Presentation good but food bland. Needs seasoning. Pasta with sausage was meh. Scallops ok. Chicken so so. For these prices the North Shore has much more to offer for 75 per person. Place is small (good) byob (bad) When I go to a place I need to be wowwed. Increasingly around here that never happens. I find myself going to the city to much. Stick with Bobbies, Pixa or Abigails. Far superior On the plus side server was great. Will not be back

A pretty good, conveniently located spot! Staff is really friendly and the manager was friendly as well (seems like he’s changed his ways based on previous reviewers, at least during my experience). In terms of vegan options, they’ve got a few things on the menu. The veggie burger (no brioche bun) and oatmeal are pretty good. They’ve got almond milk for coffee as well.

I don't even know where to start. The owner of this place is a complete A hole to say it nicely. First, he wouldn't seat us as our entire party wasn't there. Understandable if packed, but there were 8 empty tables. Five minutes later we were sat. 5 minutes after that, he moved us another table because table we were at a 6 top and we were 4 and he had a reservation in 45 minutes. We told him we were old friends catching up and going to be there awhile. We totally understood the move. Then things went downhill fast.As we were looking at the menus, he literally came over and took our menus as he didn't have enough as we were told we had had them long enough. REALLY...print some more!! The food came and 2 of 4 were wrong. Then the owner comes back around refilling coffee, tilts pot to pour and nothing comes out because it's empty. But he plays it off like he refilled us and doesn't come back. 5 minutes later, he's back with check. One in the group says "please just split it 4 ways." His response, "please give me one card and you all can Venmo each other." We all looked at each other in disbelief. As we continue to chat, not having been there for over an hour, he comes back and asks us to leave because they are now on a wait. So after a $100+ breakfast(no alcohol), catching up with life long friends, we are asked to leave. He's an absolute joke and needs to learn class and customer service.
