We had a wonderful meal at Ni's Kitchen located in downtown Wilmette. Ni's has an airy, light feel with representational art of Vietnam on the walls. Convenient, free parking right out front. Service was very friendly and we spoke at length to Lisa, the charming proprietor. The beef steak and brisket Pho was tasty with the noodles and broth being seasoned well and the beef very tender. A portion of Thai Basil with Shrimp also hit the spot. Total bill was under $40 and we had leftovers!

Went with my daughter who has been to Vietnam. This was my first experience with Vietnamese food. We both loved it. She had Summer Rolls and we shared Pho Beef Steak & Brisket and a Banh Mi Lemongrass Beef. Everything was delicious. The pho had lots of fresh ingredients. Everything was prepared well and there was plenty of food. We will definitely return.

They don't overwhelm you with meat in their pho. However, the broth was tasty. Service was kind of slow even though it wasn't very busy.

Tried this for the first time last night. I live in Wilmette and I didn't even realize this restaurant has been in town since November! It's in the downtown but just far enough to the side on 12th street that I have not noticed it. Anyway, we really enjoyed the food. We spoke to the owner, who was lovely - a first-time restauranteur, with her sister and nephew helping out around the restaurant. She wants to bring authentic Vietnamese cuisine - recipes her mom would make - to Wilmette. As far as we can tell, she's doing a great job. The menu has enough to chose from but is not as extensive as some - yet. She is seeing what people are interested in and evolving it slowly, which makes sense. Everything was good; we particularly enjoyed the pork chop with rice. It is BYOB. We want everyone to go give them a try, so we continue to have this much-needed dining option in Wilmette.

Came here for a quick lunch with my wife -- food was absolutely delicious. We got the pork and shrimp summer rolls with peanut sauce, combination pho and lemongrass bahn mi, which were all very generous portions and so flavorful. The pho was enormous, with huge portions of meat (most places skimp on this) and a rich, flavorful broth. Service was attentive and efficient. We've tried many of the Vietnamese restaurants on the North Shore and this one stands out as our new favorite.

I had the pleasure of dining in at Ni's Kitchen yesterday with my daughter. The food is so good & fresh! Shrimp summer rolls, peanut sauce, veggie spring rolls, Thai basil fried rice with shrimp, lemongrass beef Banh Mi, Thai iced tea, all so so delicious! The service is great! Can't wait to go back and try some different food items!

I'm working in the area so I was hoping I found a hidden gem in Wilmette for Vietnamese food. I only had a mediocre experience. There was only one server, and she had to juggle a few different tables, which I didn't mind. I started with ordering the pork and shrimp summer rolls which were great. The noodles were soft, and the veggies tasted fresh. For my entree, I ordered the vermicelli bowl. I was hoping it would reflect the freshness of the summer roll, but unfortunately it did not. The meat was very flavorful and tasty, but the noodles were hard. The texture was so off-putting, and it detracted from the dish overall. The dressing also wasn't that tangy, which is how I prefer it. I also got a Thai iced tea, and something about it was off. Overall, just an okay experience, and I wouldn't return.

Never had Vietnamese food before, and this was such a delightful surprise! We tried and shared many things, all of them typical: pork noodles soup, egg rolls, beef sandwich, chicken and shrimp crepe and at the end a hot Vietnamese coffee. Everything was delicious, the service extremely kind and the atmosphere very cozy.I will definitely come again
