Perfectly cooked flat iron steak, and top notch Manhattan. Pricier than I expected, but overall great

Loved this place!I highly recommend this restaurant. I had their main Steak File with mushrooms sauce , veggies and mashed potato, everything was delicious. The price is 100% worthy since you get good meat quality and good portion. The staff was very nice to us and very friendly.

Love this place! The ambiance is romantic and cozy! Service is great and food is so delicious! Perfect place for a date night, girls night out or to celebrate a bday! Ahi tuna is a must try!

Great meal! Ribeye was really good but salmon is the best! Fries are very tasty so are the appetizers - steak tartare and jumbo shrimp! Best steak house near Evanston!

I visit Sophia Steak at least once or two times a month, but the quality seems to be declining recently.Their Saturday Prime Rib special used to be outstanding, but it was gray, well done, dry, and tough during my last two orders. As you can see from the photo, there was barely any ribeye cap or fat; instead, it was gray and well done. The Lobster & Shishito was previously a great appetizer, but there was more batter than there was lobster meat in my last order. Some bites were only batter and no lobster. On two separate occasions, I ordered their Delmonico Ribeye Steak medium rare, but it was served blue rare. The first time it happened, I was sick throughout the night and the next day. The second time it happened, I brought the steak up to medium rare in my home oven. While my steak was in the oven, I gave Sophia Steak a call to notify them of the problem, but the woman on the other end, who sounded like one of the hostesses was indifferent and did not issue a word of apology. It's truly disappointing. I don't expect perfection, but the quality and service from Sophia – a premier steakhouse – has been falling short from being at least decent recently.

This was our second time at Sophia steak and while we will return, we don't quite think it compares to a steakhouse in the city. That said, it's an amazing spot on the north shore for a nice dinner and a solid steak. We got a glass of Far Niente and Turnbull (would recommend both) to start along with the crispy Lobster. The lobster was really tender, although fried. This was my husbands pick as I don't love breaded/fried food, but if you do -- a must. We then got the ribeye and filet with whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts as a side. I'd recommend it all. Unfortunately, my husbands steak was over cooked but the way they handled the situation is what wil make us return. Incredibly apologetic and immediately made him a new steak. In fact, I've never seen it be turned around that fast. The manager came over also and offered his apologies. The steaks were very tender and with a lot of flavor! For dessert we got the apple crisp - definitely seemed to have more crumbly crisp than apple, but would recommend. Enjoy!

Divine. We are from New Orleans and my husband is a chef. If you know chefs, it’s rare for him to like everything we get. We loved everything we got.Greg was our server. He was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.Tip: Get the key lime custard…
