I absolutely love this place. I work service and whenever I'm in the area I have to stop by. Tacos are great with good portions, guac is fresh and amazing and the horchata is awesome too!

pretty decent food. It's cash only and I wasn't given a receipt but I didn't ask for it and I saw that he shortchanged me two cents which just for the principal of the thing kind of insulted me so I didn't tip (I usually tip 30 to 50%) I'm not sure about the whole tipping thing if you're placing your own order at a register but they did bring the food to us and were very polite. They provided green and red hot sauces for us, EXCELLENT. My girlfriend cooks Hispanic food and is an expert on it and she loved the tacos. I got a beef burrito which was giant and perfectly cylindrical. That was kind of cool! Price was right especially for Wilmette. very happy and will be back likely often unless Kamala wins the election then we'll be cooking at home forever cuz we won't be able to afford it. It's all economics. The prices are very fair at this place. I was kind of looking for a nice little place we could frequent in the area and I think this might be it. They had fresh horchata. I don't like any horchata but my family loved it. huge beef burrito with everything, 3 steak tacos with cilantro, 2 horchatas and a Mexican Coke in the bottle was about $35. I saw they had desserts and many other things but we just wanted to try this place even though we had already eaten. Will change my review when we have other things on the menu.

Ordered two steak tacos with cilantro and onions. Corn tortillas not heated up on the grill, decent amount of meat but not seasoned, garnished with half the amount of cilantro and onions required. No limes on the side. Red salsa was above average. I can see how they stay in business feeding hungry gringos due to the location and no competition.
Would never last in a community where Mexican people would come in and dine!!

The Trendy Taco made the best chicken burrito ever!! The price was incredible for the portion. I was the only person eating in the restaurant, but they had lots of to go orders being picked up. They had authentic music playing and gave me a bottle of their salsa while eating. The staff was incredibly friendly. Please keep in mind it is CASH ONLY.
Parking: Free parking at village hall after 5 pm with no restrictions.
