I came to this place last weekend for brunch, and it was fantastic. I really liked how cozy it felt at the restaurant, and the holiday decorations made it feel more festive. I thoroughly enjoyed my swedish pancakes and fresh squeezed orange juice. Our waitress was great and super attentive. Will definitely be coming back ☺️

Service was good. My server was Nina, brought me refill without having to ask,
I really appreciate that!!!
Food was really good, only thing is I asked for EXTRA CRISPY hashbrowns but didn’t deliver, was we on inside. I don’t like hashbrowns but the meal I wanted came with it so decided to try & ask for how I would enjoy. Not a big deal but was a little disappointed with that.
But will go back.
I’m sitting in the restaurant writing this review waiting for a ‘to go’ box & here comes Nina with another refill
- love you Nina!!!!!!🥰

We are regulars and love the food here. The service is much slower than it was before. However, my main concern is that the waitresses don’t share their tips with bus boys. We had an elderly black gentleman helping us out again and he didn’t get any tips. We thought waitresses share % of their tips with them, but they dont( confirmed with the cashier). Please tip bus boys, they are working so hard!

Take out this time. The owner no longer permits carry out orders for the German, do we subbed in the Dutch baby. Same great flavor. I guess carry out or maybe delivery orders were getting complaints that the lovely tall walls of the German did not survive the take out/delivery process. We also Ruthie's favorite mushroom omelette sans cheese. And my personal fave, the 49ers. And an order or hadh Well done. All were great shared by the three of us as a late lunch. Sad that demand has gone down in terms of filling the restaurant up through dinner time as in the old days of 10 years ago!

I've never felt violated like I did ON November 9th at 1:30PM at this location . I waited patiently for the waiter to come and pick up the tip from the last customer before I sat down. Theirs an elderly black gentleman that's been working here for years who was bringing me my coffee , so I reach and get a five dollar bill to tip him (and only him) because he deserves it. Then this other waitress comes by and grabs the five dollar bill from my table . I tell her put my money back it's not yours . Words were exchanged she puts it down and leaves. Then she comes back with two other waitresses and they grab the five dollar bill from my table . Well all this for a five dollar bill mind you. A manager was called ,cameras were looked at , and they understood they made a big mistake by taking MY FIVE DOLLAR BILL. Guys you have so many locations this shouldn't ever happen . Now I am going to come back and talk to the real manager and get to the bottom of this . Those waitresses don't belong their with that type of attitude and personality. I'm disgusted and disappointed with the way they treated my wife . I'm writing for her and this is not over .

Anytime I'm down in the Wilmette area, I try to eat here. I have Celiac'sand even though they're not a designated facility, I never have issues. They have a fairly large gluten menu including pancakes and waffles. I had eggs, pancakes and bacon. All were very good. My friend who doesn't have dietary issues had their corned beef hash. She said it was delicious.
Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free menu. They say they take precautions and I didn't have any issues.
Family loved the food. Delicious fluffy waffles and tasty crepes. Alot of variety to choose from. I ordered the ham with eggs. Received a juicy thick sliced ham with 6 fluffy eggs. Coffee was nice and strong.

I really enjoyed my experience at Walker Bros. I ordered a traditional breakfast - bacon and eggs, toast, orange juice, and a side of corned beef hash. It was all do good. The corned beef hash had a texturè like none I've ate before. To me, it has a texture silimar to a crab cake. It's soft and you fork and knife just glide through it. I'm going back very soon. My meal was delicious.

Wilmette’s Walker Bros. Pancake House is a beloved local gem where breakfast is transformed into an experience. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm and cozy atmosphere that feels both inviting and nostalgic, like a place where good mornings have been shared for generations. The classic decor and large windows allow plenty of light, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a hearty meal.
The only catch? It’s popular—and for good reason! Be prepared for long lines, especially on weekends. But don’t let that deter you. The wait is always worth it, and the friendly staff keeps things moving smoothly. Despite the bustle, the service is top-notch. The team is attentive, quick, and somehow manages to maintain their cheerful demeanor even during the busiest of times, making you feel well taken care of from the moment you sit down.
And then, of course, there’s the food. The pancakes are the stars of the show—fluffy, golden, and just the right amount of indulgent. Whether you go for the classic buttermilk or opt for something a little more adventurous like the apple pancake or blueberry, every bite is a delight. Their savory options are just as delicious, rounding out a menu that satisfies any breakfast craving.
Yes, Walker Bros. can get crowded, but the bustling energy just adds to its charm. It’s a testament to how beloved this spot is in the community.

This is a charming breakfast spot. I got buckwheat pancakes, a side of pancakes, and coffee. The service was quick and friendly, and the food came out quickly. The food tasted great, and I appreciated the coffee refills. The inside decor is really cute and old-timey.
